Hi allI I am very new to the whole multiboxing game, and have just recently bought 2 additional accounts for the purpose of mutiboxing, however, I only have 3 accounts for the time being, since finances do not permit me to have a full 5 unfortunately. What I am wondering is, what woud be the best (in terms of overall simplicity) 3 man setup for a first time boxer? I wanted to go with lock mage & priest - would these be particuarly hard to work with 1st time round? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and/or support, anything is welcomed as I am competely new to multiboxing and am not sure the best team to start out with.By the way,I'm using Keyclone and jaamba, since I fully understand keyclone, and know most of jaamba (has taken some time though )

A lock, mage and priest would be pretty hard for a first timer.
3 of the same class is generally the easiest way to start. You're kind of gimped with only 3 because you aren't going to be able to solo dungeons 'easily'.
Depends what your goals are I guess and totally understand about being short on $$$ believe you me!
You can still have a lot of fun with 3 but let me tell you having 5 is awesome and well worth it.
If I was in your situation I'd go with a healer-tank-dps. Just having a tank+healer will take you far. Maybe try a Paladin+2 druids. Spec the druids both for DPS since they'll have PLENTY of healing power while leveling up. When you get to higher levels you can change one druid to a healer and leave the other as your DPS.
But you might think of a long term goal like I did. Started with 2 accounts and already had an 80 paladin. Dual boxed 2 sets of druids and by then had saved enough to buy 3 more WOWs+transfer fees. Something to think about =)

Thanks for your quick reply, and I can see where you are comig from regarding the 5 accounts (I do plan to have 5 i the future, just cant afford right now) , 3 of the ame class makes sense, since my original pan was to go with 5 shammies, I think I might ust have to go with 3 shammies for now, and see how that does for me (Im thinking utimately, Id like to arena, although I know that takes some skill) so I gues all out shammies would be the easiest bet as far as that goes.

I'd start with three shaman, elemental spec.
Down the road, when you add two more accounts as the finances allow, the 3 shaman can be the core of your first team.
You have the option of a tank + dedicated healer.
Or of a tank + boomkin/warlock (for the 13% spell power boost) and use the shammies for DPS and Heals.
A shaman can boost through Scarlet Monastery very easily.
And probably Scholomance/Stratholme, and then Ramparts, if the toon is 80th with a little badge gear.
Once you reach 60th, you can use totems to boost to 70th fairly easily too.
Three of the same will be the easiest.
After the shammies, consider what other teams you'd eventually like.
I'd probably level 3x DPS as a group of three.
And down the road, add two more accounts and RAF boost those to join your existing set of 3's.

I started out with 5, but have since cut back to 3. this was not due to financial reasons, but I found myself running with friends quite a lot and always having to drop 1-2 characters. As Jinkobi has mentioned above a group of 3 is a serious force to be reckoned with, and you can always scale up to 5 later on.
At the end of the day It's you who are playing the game, so pick characters you feel comfortable running with. Don't just follow blindly the lead of countless others, when they say you have to run with X of this and X of this to succeed. half the fun of Multiboxing is the sense of achievement on making your toons progress.
your best bet would be to pick characters to level that you are going to use towards "end-game" I wasted soo much time levelling up sets of 5 characters up to 70 (after the initial RAF levelling frenzy) and then dumping them afterwards, once I had planned what i wanted to get out of the game.
However if you do want some team composition advice, the team I spend most time triple boxing with has to be my Druids. The scope for them is fantastic (Tank, Heals and DPS) the instant forms are also a godsend - (think running off the top of Aldor rise in Shattrath and then hitting flight form just before you hit the bottom :P )
they don't work well for Arena, due to the lack of burst damage, but in PVP they rock (force of Nature + Starfall + Hurricane on all your toons in short order decimate the opposition). Stealth Attacks on mass are also quite a laugh..
In my signature are all the teams i'm currently running, I sometimes change around the order of who runs with who, just to add some variety to the time i spend playing (the joys of having tanks on different accounts).
bottom line "Have Fun"
