Trying to get some interest going for those of us not involved in DiT, tho all are welcome.

I know very little of Ony 10 and up raid content but want to start.

So....

Tuesday night 8pm PST for the weekly or Ony 10 to start.

May move to Monday and or Wed. if we get some interested folks.

I'm available M, T, W evenings so will work with what works for a group of 10.

Solo players and boxers welcome.

Reply here if you want to come, with # of toons, names (I dont know folks yet) and roles.

So here's the skinny, my new job should be letting me out of work at about 8pm server... this leaves me the oppurtunity to attend these, if you have room.

I can bring 1 toon.

What roles I can fill depends on what is needed:
5.7k GS Pally (DPS, if it's a raid I'm not DiTlocked to) // 5k GS Pally Tank
5.2k GS Hunter
5k GS DK (DPS)
4.8 GS Shaman (DPS)
4.5k GS Lock
4.4k GS Druid (Tree)
3.7k GS Rogue
3.5k GS Priest (dps) <-- currently working on gearing this and my tree.

I'm Polixenes, Kwiggles, Fiddlesticks, Owches, Fiddlestickz, Twiggles, Strangepork, Dwindle in game. If that helps.

Aside from being slammed fixing my inlaws house all this week I am game M/T/or W, so long as it stays static.

DPS: Moschus

Well I'm good pretty much any day or time, just need a day or so advance notice on when the planned raid / group will be so I can make arrangements.

I'm still only level 71 / 70 with my 4 dk's / priest.
I have my mutliboxing movement squared away really good after 4 years of boxing, so I would eventually like to try 1 tank (offtank) 3 dps + 1 heals.

Would like to try doing some 10 mans with 2 five boxers also, myself and 1 other.

I'm also open pretty much to anything.
Taking 4 dps dk's + 1 priest, the setup mentioned above, or even just taking 1 healer, 1 dps etc...

I hope to be 80 within 2 weeks and geared for raids within another week or so after.
See you all in game.

This is tormented btw.

I'd love to raid tank - though my tank is only 4.7k gs so far (but increasing; I'm near having enough 60 frost for a major upgrade) and also fully gem'ed and enchanted (100% with /eg)

toon is Morea

/speaking 100% from experience of starting / maintaining DiT

Getting a group started is hard as fuck. What worked for us in the past is talk to everyone we know and talk up the group. Madoran was such a shitty server DiT was Toraneko and Myself, + 6-8 transfers when we first started. So post about the group here, talk about it in game. A lot. nearly to the point people tell you to stfu. If someone just can't make the raid times, not a lot you can do about that so no need to harp on people.

Other things that DiT learned

Leadership. You *must* have a solid leader (or in DiT's case, a scapebear) to make the tough / PITA decisions. You don't have to be a superhero, you just have to be able to herd cats. Don't be afraid to depend on other people. If it wasn't for my ability to go talk to Toraneko, Fenril, or Vecter about the raid group, I would have nerdrage quit a long time ago.
Recruit if you have to. Guild tags are meaningless. We *never* required anyone that raided with us to be in guild.
Don't be scared to pug, LOTS of people have alts and they all want gear. We found Kawasa by pugging.
If you build it, they will come: get into a routine. No matter WHO or how many show up, go do SOMETHING!
A fair loot system and a team of friends makes loot not matter. DiT on Madoran used a loot council, which was primarily who Toraneko and I thought the loot should go to. Here on Kil'Jaeden we use /roll MS>OS and we still don't have loot issues because Toraneko / Kaulan / Myself all know what we're after and everyone else is very quick to pass an item to the next person.
Roll with the punches, shit happens, don't let it get ya down.
Do stuff outside of the group, with the group members, this is purely relationship building. The more you interact with your team outside the raid environment, the better you'll perform together IN the raid environment.

If only 3 people showed up, it's disheartening, but it happens. That's when you should hit the trade channel. Most of LoB has a very bad habit of not wanting to do anything until whatever raid group is 10 seconds before the first pull and then people are like "Do you have room for 1 more?!" Just work around it. If you need me to bump you to a recruiter position so you can update the gmotd, I can do that. But you shouldn't think you are limited to just the guild. I'm the absolute worst at pugging, but I'll do it. Just make sure you advertise your loot rules up front.

If you need any help or any suggestions please talk to me or anyone else in DiT. We've been through the pains and you shouldn't have to go through them too :_D

I probably would have joined you guys, but the timing wad bad, we were just finishing up the DiT run. If it were on another night, or at a different time, maybe it would work out better. I have 13 80s, and only one is committed to a raid lockout, so that leaves 12, 5 of which are geared to go to ICC 10, and probably ICC 25. The others are around a 4k gearscore, and can probably do ok in ToC 10, or Ony 10. I'ved boxed up through ToC 25 all the way through, and I've boxed ICC 10/25 for trash, so that should help fill up raid spots, until we fill them with other people.

The times that are best for me (until I get a job at least) are mid afternoons, 12PM -5PM Server time.

Not to be harsh, but calling it "the not good enough to join DiT raid group" probably isn't going to win over any volunteers.

Fiddle- that was 1/2 a joke and 1/2 the fact that it seems we segregated the guild in the "in" and "out" - obviously I don't actually think anyone not "in" isn't good enough, just that they are newer and less geared... hopefully the better geared and better experienced people can share the love

DiT is where DiT is because Svpers worked his ass off building a group that for some god awful reason sticks with each other after a server transfer and all that.

Svper has tried to involve LoB, in fact we have some original LoB members in our vent. We constantly ask for people to fill our spots in raids, and get 0 response. We brought in Kawasa after constantly having to pug 1 dps slot. Mostly all we ask, is 4.5k dps, which is easy to attain. Our healing core, and tanks are solid.. it has nothing to do with being selective or an "in" and "out" crowd.

Yes, gear is an issue. But, I got a 4900 GS on my DK on my own, chain farming heroics. That's not saying "don't go out and raid". It's saying don't use gear as an excuse, or reason to not participate.

Even if you did have gear, the chance of getting into the DiT crew is very slim. Not because of gear, or in and out, but because we have a very set group of people.. and we don't believe in sitting people if we can avoid it.

So I reiterate what bear said, if you want a group:

It's going to be a pain in the ass to put together a group. You HAVE to take it seriously (at first). Don't be afraid to pug, and DO NOT just look in guild.

QFT

The toughest part of starting a raid group, is finding the people. People do not need the same guild tag to raid together. I faction changed and server transfered to join this group, just so happened that I was looking in the right place at the right time, and had the right gear.

If you do find a few people that can get together at the same time on a set day, I would say use the wow forums for our realm, and throw a post up there as well, saying what time you guys meets, what you need, and what you expect. Before I came here, that's how I found my ICC group, as bad as it was.

You may find at first it is gonna be tough to find ten people to raid, due to this particular guilds playstyle/schedule.

Are you guys on track to run this week?

I'm not sure. I haven't seen Zeyter on. I'll start a thread for this week's Casual Casual Raid.

My team is almost 80. What do you think I need to get my gear score up to before I can do some raids with you guys?

It looks like Ony 10 sits around 4300-4500 gs. I'm not real sure though (educated guess). That said, I'm happy to run Naxx or OS 10. I've never made it all the way through Naxx and haven't done OS 10 yet. There's probably a few others out there who would like to hit those up.
