Well Im getting the itch to box again, but dont have the 330 bucks needed to get started on WoW. Was thinking about boxing Runes of Magic... but seems the GM's over there cant make up their minds if boxing is allowed or not.
I have read you can box, but it cant be on the same PC.
I have read that you can box, but no software driven multiboxing.
And then another GM just said it was fine as long as you didnt pvp.
So Im a bit confused. Anyone had any boxing experience over there?

Well first I'd invest in a game I'm sure to enjoy and has clear cut rules on boxing. Would really suck if you got all set up and started boxing that game only to find yourself banned later eh?
Guess it depends on what you're interested in.
Look at your big picture. If you go with WOW you can get regular WOW without the expansions for 5-15$ each (they run their 5$ special sometimes). Because it's going to take you some time to get 5 toons from 1-60 and maybe by then you'll have the $$ for the TBCX5 and continue on,
In the long run it is more expensive because you can buy the Battlechest for 30$ which includes vanilla WOW+TBC (you save 15$ from buying them seperately.)
Guess I'm trying to say no need to buy all the games + expansions if you're starting from scratch. Buy just what you need and add to it later.

Anyone have an actual answer on this? I'm currently downloading the RoM client and while doing so have been reading conflicting posts dating late 2009 saying Multiboxing is/isn't against the ToS.
So, anyone multibox this game at this time? I guess I don't really care about getting banned, as the game is free, but it'd be nice to know the rules.

I thought about multiboxing this game. I was able to load up 6 accounts just fine but I didn't really progress due to the undefined resolution of whether multiboxing is allowed or not.

It seems that on EU servers they don't care so much. I'm currently boxing on a French Server and its going alright.
