Mount money, yet again

Ok... I've posted before when I was lvl 43ish about how on earth to raise enough money for epic land mounts.. surely enough by lvl 62 quest rewards and finding a dark whelping in the badlands helped put all my girls on epic wolves. The regular epic flying mount wasn't a problem either with quest money. But now 25K in gold to zip around the outlands seems absurd. aside from the few daily quests I can do.. AV BG and the 4 skyguard quests how else have you, if any of you have, made that kind of gold multiboxing... I considered getting tailoring x5 to produce the Primal mooncloth, but getting everyone up to that level seems like a cash sink as well... I've had an alchemist before and am pondering x5 transmutes, but selling an archanite xmute for 5G pre-bc took a long time to get a response.

What are you fellow lvl 70's doing to make the money roll in?

After playing around for a bit with my epic land mounts I felt hope that flying would be fun with epics...

I got 70th and purchased flying mounts, and in all but the most pristine conditions I have trouble with them keeping up with me if I have crusader aura up (180% total modified speed per monkeyspeed). The 220% on my epic land mounts isn't a problem, but when you add the Z axis into this the game has a lot of trouble keeping up, I have an audible alert setup and any lag at all causes it to trigger, I have to swing back, pick up, move forward, etc...

I can't imagine this @ 380% on an epic flier... it would be constant and intolerable. I believe this was one of the things that broke Xzin's spirits as well if I remember correctly.

All said and done, I intend on spending the 26,000g on other pointless things, like raid repairs on my main ;).

Log in to the PTRs and try it for yourself, as they all have epic flyers in their kits. For me, they worked fine, even playing from the east coast on a west coast server. Your mileage may vary.

As far as epic flying mounts, I think Xzin said they dont' work period, due to lag.

Suvega has issues with his epic flyers quite a bit. He puts riding crops/carrot on a stick on the back ones and leaves the front (leader) without one. I think.

Assume the front guy is using a non-epic and the back 4 are on tricked out, fully +riding speed geared, enchanted, and arena-gotten epics, will they have any trouble following you on the Z axis?

Just the initial jump to get you from running to flying. After that, they will follow you on all axis'es.

interesting idea... maybe keep space as jump, and just use shift+space for it? it's not exactly much harder on the hand.

Epic Flying mounts work perfectly fine. I tested them extensively on the PTR with no issues whatsover.

I just have to teach myself to not use spacebar except to go straight up, then hit my follow key again. I fly using the wasd and my mouse, no space bar.

Crusader Aura only works if you are on follow, I had this issue also and it shits me. Dont roll a Paladin for the Crusader Aura, unless he is on follow thats all I can say. It sometimes works briefly in PvP but its not the awesome 'catch up to anyone' ability it sounds like on paper.

Just do every quest you possible can, make use of the AH, sell every weapon you pickup, dont buy anything. I doubt you'll have 30k gold (you really need 6k gold to get your epic flyers) by 70 but you'll be maybe half way.

You should be able to do Skettis Bombing, BE Bombing, Escort the Scout, Banish Demons, Capture Aether Rays, and 5x Simon Says. If you cant be fucked with escort or Simon Says, thats still 55g per character per day.

Also make use of your 5 box, do instances, sell cloth, sell large prismatics (25g on my server last I checked). Hell if you can get a heroic down really nicely, sell Nethers for 100g or whatever.

Have a bank alt you send everything too, run auctioneer advanced on that character and sell everything. On my server for some absurd reason wool sells for 5g a stack, go and find something wierd that you can farm en'masse.

Go do Strat runs in 15m, over and over.

Running dailies every day on my rogue trying to raise money for an epic flying mount eventually sapped my will to live.

Compound the repetiive grind of dailies with repetitive Kara runs week in and week out for 2 or 3 nights a week, Gruuls 1 night and then a little bit of excitement with either VR attempts or Mag attempts. Although clearing the trash to VR in heroics/Kara gear is much like sticking pins in your eyes after the novelty wears off.

Beware of the daily quest burnout.

i mean 25k isn't worth it XD what it takes 5 times less time to get to a place?

ok look at it this way:

cost: 25'000g
Time grinding: 50hrs (if you get 50g/hr per character)

so to make up the money you spent you have to spend around 40hrs flying ot places to make up the gold you lost XD i mean common?

just use your 60% to get to a flight master and take a ride there :)

Not like Netherdrakes are hard...it's saving up for Flying skill to even start the netherdrake quests that's the hard part lol, moreso now that people who wanted one bad enough are done and not hogging all the mine mobs and nether eggs :p

Take the time to master the Shartuul fight. Even though the prices of those items have been nerfed, it's still a ton of fun, and you can still sell most of the items for at least 50g. Some are still in the hundreds.

I actually have a "How To: Shartuul" video made and uploaded somewhere, though I forgot to record the first boss and it was made shortly before they made those eyestalks actually -do- something..easy fight once you learn it, just takes half an hour and you'll probably need at least 2-3 charged focuses as emergency "WHoops, I fucked up" protection, particularly if you get bad timing on eyes/shartuul's debuffs at the end.

I'm plan is to do as much questing for the XP in Azeroth and not rush off at 58 to Outlands. That'll help a little. Also plan on grinding on instances to help save the quests for gold.

I saved 3 zones by doing alot of instance grinding i had 3 locks 1 priest and 1 tank druid.
At this time i am leveling up 1 pally and 2 mages for a heroic group, so i will have 1 pally 1 priest 2 mages and 1 lock, and im leveling them up in instances to, Atm they are level 64 and i have only done hellfire quests, as im hoping to hit 70 with the 3 and only done hellfire, zang and shat city quests. So im estimating will probably make 15k atleast off all of the rest of the quests for the 3 characters epic flying mounts

Thanks raz :) I got almost an entire level from 63-64 farming Blood Furnace. I was getting about 100k an hour. I was getting kinda scared because I was barely 63 and I was anticipating skipping a lot of quests in Terrokar (pretty much done with hellfire and zang except some gathering quests). However, after I finally figure out how to do Broggok the 40 minute BF runs were very fun. I plan on moving to the Zangar instances next, and keep farming instances as long as I can. That way I won't _have_ to do any quests that aren't fitted for multiboxer except if I want the gold.

my main is an enchanter and I have been selling the shards.. I don't have any professions on anyone but have been stock piling the nethers I'm getting from heroics... I have a bank alt who sells cloth. Dailies are only paying for my reapir bills from heroics, because as I stated before I can really only do 4 of them... I' loose my mind if i did that crystal memory game 5 times in a row every day. Regular quests seem like a great way to make cash but I did a lot of them getting my girls to 70 and can't find a tremendous amount of them aside from the odd collection quest that doesn't lead to a large chain.

Maybe I will try strat, if anything the runecloth would help me with tailoring and I could unload those nethers
