I didn't want to threadjack the eyefinity thread starting so a new post here:
I have three of these 28" 1080p (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254043&cm_re=hanns_g-_-24-254-043-_-Product) when they were 310$ with free shipping and a Matrox triplehead2go digital edition (299$) that I just setup over the weekend. I don't have a picture of the setup with me at work, but I have a picture of main UI at 3800x1000 resolution on an Nvidia 8800. I'm running the 3 lcd's at a total resolution of 5040x1050 and the windows are setup pretty much like the OP in the eyefinity thread (I'll post pix tonight hopefully) . I'm still ironing out the window swapping quirks with isboxer and window regions. Even with this vid card, I'm still running decent FPS (avg 40-45 in Icecrown) on the main ui.
The Matrox was very easy to setup but I did have to download the latest Win 7 desktop software/drivers/firmware from their site to enable the higher resolutions. Sadly, these LCD's can run 1920 resolution but the software will only run them at 1680 giving you a grand total of 5040x1000 (the numbers might be off by a few tenths). WoW detects and can run at the higher 5040 resolution on a single client which is boggling to see.
I'm not using the 2nd output on the nvidia 8800 but I do have a second Nvidia 8400 running 2 smaller lcd's for misc stuff.
