My 4 ret team is at LVL 77 and I have a semi geared frost DK waiting at 80, I'v been pondering respecting one of my Ele Shammens to Enh and running 3 x rets, 1 x Enh, and my DK for PVP, the Shammen would bring Purge, Tremor Totem, Unleashed Rage (10% AP buff to team on crits), Frozen Power (Freezes target if over 15 yard away for 5 secs), Magma Totem, and Windfury totem (20% talented haste), Maelstrom Weapon proc (20% reduced cast time up to 5 x for insta cast heals or damage spells). Do you think this would be better than 4 x rets/dk? I think the Shammen would be a bit squishier than the rets/dk, but it seems to bring alot to the table.

Been thinking exactly the same. For sure cause the shammy can throw in a heal if needed.

I say go with what you are comfortable playing. Is switching out a Ret for a Enhancement shaman going to make a huge difference? no I dont think you going to see a 200 rating difference or whatever. Also, something to keep in mind....

Armor - The way Armor mitigates damage is not changing, but the Armor stat has been rebalanced to mirror changes to the armor curve in Cataclysm. As a result, bonus Armor will go down slightly overall. We are also changing the mitigation difference among armor types so that plate doesn't offer so much more protection than mail, leather, and cloth

The plate armor advantage is going bye bye.
