Levelling my priests I did some experimenting with holy nova, which turned out above all expectations - here's a video of the priests facerolling the armory - pretty neat :-)

The first few packs are a bit clumsy since I'm still getting used to it, but this method could work really well for xp grinding in instances. The no-threat part of nova combined with the healing makes for some pretty safe AE fun.

Tim is leveling a team, Pally and 4x Disc, on the other site.
He's got a few videos and a post, and streams on JTV.

They've done up to Ramparts/Furnace/SlavePens/Underbog at level.
Just AoEing everything.



And I seem to remember Moorea doing 5x Disc, with Holy Nova spam.
A little while ago, and did pretty much all of the BC dungeons at level.

5 priests wont work for heroics though, so thats out of the question - but I'm looking forward to seeing how they fare in outlands and northrend :-)

And why would he spec disc if he is AE'ing everything (since holy nova is mostly affected by holy tree talents?)

I haven't boxed (or visited any boxing sites till today) in several months but i believe you get your posts deleted/locked for speaking of Tim or his site/software.

I had some priests i was toying with before 3.3 and my vacation from wow. Holy nova spam was a blast up till mana tombs. That is where i left off. The talent that gives you free instant smites is pretty fun to mess around with.

I didn't get high enough to use shadowfiend but i somehow doubt it will be enough to keep you from having to sit and drink every other pull unless they changed the mana cost of nova.

Oh, is Tim the same person as Evilseed? I'm not his biggest fan for sure, but I'm also not a big fan of that kind of censorship (banning a user is fine, getting locked for speaking of a website reminds me of the chinese).

Anyway, I you're probably right thay holy nova won't keep being viable - I couldn't imagine doing heroics with it under any circumstances, so even if it survived mana tombs, it would eventually stop. Still, it seems like a great way to level up until then - the shadow tree is pretty weak in the beginning :-)

I remember doing a priest and 4x mages with the holy nova, circle of healing, arcane explosion spam through all the dungeons. I got to level 68 with the group before it got too hard. I had problems with mana so it came down to simple math. I could do x damage before oom. If the targets had more then I would loose. Even bosses in Ramparts and Blood furnace died to the aoe spam button.

Not mentioning his software, nor linking to his site.
I've seen the posts disappear for either offense.

But just wanted to mention... there's someone else doing something similar, with a lot of success.
Not sure if there is anything on youtube, I know there are periodic JTV live streams.

I'd love to see this combo work (pallies and priests are my first two loves), but I just don't see them going far when you hit instances/bosses that require a DPS race. More power to ya if you can figure out a way.

I see no reason why tank + 4 priests wouldn't work in heroics if 3 of the priests were specced shadow - in fact I'm pretty sure they will. Tank + 4 disc/holy priests are another matter, I don't think holy dps can measure up unless you vastly outgear the instance.

My team is currently level 58 and BRD har been awesome, but I haven't done any video in there, since it's just more of the same. I suspect things will change in BC :-)

Ok, since the last movie update I've hit level 64 and mana tombs (@ 63), which went surprisingly well, so the comp is still going strong. Will see if I can post a movie update later today.
