Well I was gonna drop a post in the wow forums as thats what im multiboxing (5 shammys) but seems I cant post there at the minute :)

Anyways I just wanted to drop by and say hi and to say thanks! My shammys are all at 78 (4 are 3 bars from ding) and all being well tomorrow at least 4 will be 80!! YES!

The northrend 70-80 grind has been killing me. I swear most of the quests have been collection quests and if i couldnt have done some bg inbetween questing i think i may have give up. Been grinding hard the past 2 days to get these last few levels done.

I've been a long time lerker and thought id better say thanks for a great site! Some much information I have taken from here has helped me alot. I would really like to give credit to some of you guys for making some great guides but I really dont fancy digging up those posts at the minute. Thanks to Lax for an amazing piece of software in isboxer + innerspace. Well worth the money.

I have my second full team right at 78 also. Once you have a grp at 80 the next group will be a lot easier if you do the BoA chest and shoulders. I have done only abotu 5 - 6 of the collection quests (unless they are 100% drop rates) and I skipped several areas completely.
One thing to always keep in mind is that you can do all the dungeon quests and also any quests which normally would need a grp.
I threw in a few dungeons for experience which also helped a litle but the BoA gear was the biggest help I believe.

No kidding major /spit on the collection quests.. worst part is i just barely finished Hellfire so I know tons more are to come =l.
not to mention lately on my server the level 80s have gotten really bored and are on a rampage for about a week and just keep killing all the quest givers and flight masters.. rather strange and lame since they re spawn in a couple min anyways.

I think it would be faster to do quests, boosting so close to 80 would be slower than simply doing some quests I would think.

Oh and as for collection quests, the only ones worth doing are ones which open up to a chain which might be the main set of quests in an area. Otherwise skip them :) From 60 - 70 there are a ton of quests and so you can easily skip them all and still blow through those 10 levels.

I feel ya.. at first it doesnt seem that bad once u hit northrend but it becomes a pain if u start skippin the collections.. I did at first then from 74+ i took most of them.

As for questing over boosting. At the min im so down on quests to do that arent a real nightmire (low drop rate collections) I think boosting would be quicker. He ended up going to arena so way nay good anyways.

I definitely preferred 1st to 70th, over 70th to 80th.
But playing with rested, mixing in instances and battlegrounds, all help to make it a bit better.

And the shoulder/chest heirloom +exp items, each basically get you a level free.
So the second team is much quicker then the first.

Congrats on80 ! I,m currently leveling 5pallys up and they're just about to ding 71. My strat so far is to quest the entire zone of both borean tundra and howling fjord (like I did my first team) this will get me to about 76 or better, then hit dragon blight for the group quests there skipping as many collection quests in That zone as possible while doing a random instance every day for the badges. Then doing the whole of icecrown for the achievment and unlocking of all the dailies and rep for ebon blade. This will leave a few zones to quest through for cash lol and my pallys are in full boa gear anyway so the gold will just fly in after that :)

Quested up til i was 1-2 bars off then me mate pushed me through UP couple of times to get them all dinged. Great feeling to get there yea. Gonna roll a big fat smoke and go have some fun now, was way too tired last nite when i dinged.

Yea I was always pretty much quing AB and going when possible, deffo helped kill the grind a bit.

Well my team is just about to ding 79 and I am about to head up to the Icebreaker/Ebon Hold quests. I liked some of those due to many being group quests and so give decent rewards and gold.
So far on my toons I have 2.5k g each on them and this really is from quests in Northrend because I did not have any gold on these toons pre Northrend.

The BoA gear really helps the grind although I am not really sure how much rested helps due to the splitting of all xp between 5 toons but I suppose every little helps.

I have only cleared 3 dungeons on the way through, UK, DTK and Gun. Once I hit 79 I may revisit HoL and see if I can do any better than the wipes I had on the first boss at 78 :P

At this point just looking forward to gearing the new team at 80 and seeing how well they do against some bosses which my first team had problems with, Ick and Krick are ones that I am wondering how much the Disc priest and totems will help on vs my druid and his mobile heals.

Yea i was doing them last nite and had um done before daily reset, soon as dailys reset i got to do all the dailys in icecrown which was sweet.
