View Full Version : [WoW] Simple tool for creating /clickable /castsequence macros
I put together a bare-bones web page that will measure the speed that you spam your keys at, and create macros based on your keypress rate.
http://multibox.me (http://multibox.me/)
For more information about using /click and /castsequence to create spammable macros, see the thread started by Bigfish: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=18539
Please let me know if there's anything you'd like to see added to this!

This is very nice.
Perhaps you could add a line saying "You press your hotkey X times per second".
Great webapp! Excelent and easy to use.

My original version had that, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Perhaps I'll add an expandable section (initially collapsed) with stats like this.

All we need is a list of spells and some cool down times now

I just google for:
wowwiki +abilities +class
And substitute whatever class you want.
It's a pretty good resource, for durations or recast delays.
And includes things like talents/glyphs which change durations.

This looks awesome! Will the amount of commas be affected if the spam macro has more lines to it? EG, the DK macro I use (taken from the wiki) has either 5 or 7 /clicks in it depending on whether I'm in an instance or not.......does passing one of these lines add to the length of time it takes to get to the next?

Good job :D

Ah, good question; I hadn't thought about that. My current group is only level 35ish, so I'm only using 2 or 3 /clicks in my spam macro, and probably don't notice the difference.
I added an icon for the chosen spell (if one is available). I know that there are some spells that are missing icons in the tool; if you come across any, please let me know so I can fix them!
EDIT: If you do find a spell that shows the ? icon, please go to this page to find the icon, and let me know which one is the correct one. http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:WoW_Icons/Icon_List/Images

It should not matter how many spells are in the sequence, for how many commas of delay we have for each spell.
However, this is a priority system, where the earliest spell listed casts as often as the commas of delay allow.
Which means, even if the 5th spell has not fired off once, the 1st spell could be firing off multiple times depending on the commas of delay.
If you were to build a mage click, with 11 spells in it, chances are good many of the later spells would never fire off.
And the click will be working perfectly too.
Does anyone know of a good source for consistent ability/spell icons? I am currently using the icons from wowwiki, but it is missing many icons and is inconsistent in the use of transparency in the rounded corners of the icons.
I'd prefer that the icons be 64 by 64 pixel PNGs, with transparent corners so that they will look good on any background.
Thanks in advance!

I remember TheMuffinman / TehMuffinman posting a zip, with all of the spell icons used for the signature generator. Not sure if he posted it here, or on the other boxing site.
Anyway, looking through the signature generator, you have the option to select an icon for your team. Pretty sure this is all of the spell icons: http://pants-optional.net/sigs/gallery.php

Muffin's images will have the same problem as Wowwiki's (I'm guessing they both scraped them from WoWArmory.com). 700+ of them have the 'corner' issue.
OK, I think it now has icons for every spell (at least, every class spell that wowhead has a record of). Try it out and let me know if any that you need are missing!
I would also appreciate any feedback you have regarding additional useful features for a multiboxer macro planning tool. What would make it more useful for you?
EDIT: I updated the servername for the service; please use http://wow.codespin.com.
I've been going through each class's spells to see which are missing. I've gone through Death Knights, Paladins and Shamans so far, and filled in a few gaps. If you notice any for any other classes, please let me know!

Kudoos for you my multibox friend :)
I set up a new domain for the site, http://multibox.me. The old domains currently point to this domain as well in case you have them bookmarked.

I'm going to say again....this is awesome. Playing around with my rotations, on the level 80 target dummies, I managed to go from 2.2k dps to 2.8k.
Thanks :D
