I know that sending a single keystroke to several instances of EQ is illegal by SoE's rules but the round robin approach may work unless there is another way to set up different key combinations as macros for my other PC running EQ. A friend of mine plays WoW and has Keyclone and I have been messing around with it a little bit. I was told if I was using two pcs I could use Keyclone without the use of isboxer. I'd like to verify this and how I would set it up for Everquest 2 if anyone knows.

Keyclone and ISboxer are two different products. ISBoxer is the configuration side of Innerspace.

You wouldnt run both.

I believe as far as licensing goes, Keyclone is a lifetime license you purchase per machine. Innerspace, you pay quarterly/annually, but I believe will run on up to 5 pcs on your LAN.

I meant Innerspace, sorry, not IS Boxer.

yeah, mine was probably a little confusing

you would run keyclone

or you would run innerspace with isboxer.

but you wouldnt need to run both. I cant comment on keyclone because I havent used it. Innerspace is awesome as far as the level of granularity. When I started using it, I was just using the wizard. I had graduated to my own keymaps and round robins and such. Now I have started using action groups and mouse broadcasting. The only thing I havent hit yet are repeater regions.

If you are managing to send a keystroke to more then 1 instance of EQ2 with a single keypress, SOE views this as being against their Terms and Conditions of Use.

I'm not saying you are going to get caught, but be forewarned that they have a solid stance against the multiplexing of keystrokes of any kind.

And yes, what you are talking about is exactly keyboard multiplexing. The only way to really fall in line is to use Keyclones Round Robin so that only 1 instances receives a keystroke at a time with each keypress.

Ya, it seems that SoE has changed their interpretation of what they consider breaking the rules based on their very grey Eula. It seems that they won't be enforcing it much unless you are interfering with other players or you are obviously farming plat. Even that being the case I prefer to figure out a way to set something up using round robin or alternate macros from my keyboard for the second account on my other pc. I like the simplicity of Keyclone although it seems a bit hard to set up on EQ2 and the amount of instructions for setting the program up on multiple pcs is limited. Instructions for setting it up on eq2 are also a bit hard to find. If anyone here is running Keyclone on multiple PCs and wouldnt mind giving me a rundown on who you set it up please let me know.

So far I have gotten the computers to recognize each other through Keyclone which is fairly easy. I also set the program to automatically add Everquest II windows to it, so currently on the keyclone window it shows the other computer and Everquest II, but I haven't yet figured out how to make anything work.
Any help would be very appreciated.
