Been loitering on the forums for a few weeks now and decided to finally register so I can post, and bug people with questions etc ;)

Some of the rigs etc I've seen on these forums are simply amazing, I first heard about Xzin ages ago, no idea exactly how long, someone had made a movie of him nuking someone in Gadgetzan and was bitching about him, I'd only just started WoW up again after a break (back to CoH) and thought it was hilarious. Then someone threw me a link to this site a few weeks back, I've been checking in pretty much daily since then to check out progress on some of the rigs people are putting together etc, hoping Xzin will decide to post pictures of his rig once it's finished ;) (and a wiring diagram ^^)

I'd roll toons on Magtheridon US, but I live in the UK, so I play on the EU servers.

Dual-boxed in City of Heroes (sidekick system there made it so easy to lvl alts like that) and have dual/triple boxed on and off in WoW.

On to my question(s) :)

Currently have 3 PCs, one that's pretty decent that will run 2 copies of WoW fairly easily, 1 that will run 2 with lower frame rate, and another that barely runs one copy...

I have 4 accounts of my own, and access to a 5th. Considering running 2 installs on the 2 better PCs (each) and a 5th on the older PC. This would be for PvE as the low frame rate on 2 of the PCs would be unsuitable for PvP. 3x19" LCDs and a 17" CRT as a junk monitor (msn, TS, etc)

I have a wireless KB with 3 receivers so I can easily control all 3 PC's that way, I also have a Logitech G15 on the main rig, and a Nostromo N52 on the 2nd rig.

So, I'm thinking the way to go might be control the 2 PCs with the wireless setup, and then use AHK or similar to forward the keyboard commands on to the 2nd copy of WoW on each of the 2PCs? Giving me a cross between the preferred hardware route, and the software route.

Any suggestions? I've read pretty much every thread on the forums, and will find them handy when making the commands etc to forward the keyboards controls etc. Wondering which software is the most ideal (AHK or other?) and anything I might not have considered...

Another question I didn't notice (or at least find the answer to) with regards to AHK, can I run WoW full screen, with a 2nd copy running minimized and still have the commands sent to both?

I plan on 3 new PCs sometime next year for WAR, but in no hurry at the moment, and if I can't 5box with this setup for now, then so be it :)

Don't hold your breath. I might - MIGHT - post my old setup, which looks a lot like Gooses or the other "standard" 5 boxing 6 screens 3 wide 2 high setups. Nothing amazing or new (now) but certainly not your typical WoW setup.

As for my new one..... not sure if I want to or not. You see the attention Gameslah got.

It's funny you mention wiring diagrams. I actually have wiring diagrams for all of my setup. You sorta have to. Every wire is labeled and I know exactly where it goes and how it gets there. I sort of have to, really. Especially because I extended EVERY computer over 25 ft away. My computer room is almost completely silent - AND - nice and cool.

I don't plan on releasing them either though. I am more than happy to share my ideas and how I did what I have done but I am not real interested at this time in sharing pictures of my setup. Partly because its 95% done and not 100% but mostly because I expect that a great many people will just not "get it" - not how it works but why I would be motivated to put something like that together.

Fair enough, though I guess the simplest explanation is "because you can" but yes, I read through Gameslah's thread and was unimpresed with all the new posters registering just to take a pop at him...

Shame really, what no one seems to get is that most gold farming is done in places where PCs, electricity, floor space and man-power are alot cheaper, and hence it's profitable to farm and sell gold, either via players who are paid $5 a day or these days via automated bots on seriously low spec rigs.

Either way, it's good to have a site to stop by and ask questions, see some peoples setups etc, where most people do get it :)

Good point, no goldfarmer sits that comfortable..
