I am running a 1 pally tank 3 ele sham 1 druid heal team and doing 5 man heroics is pretty much a grind bore to me now just getting tons of badges and loot really so I was thinking about mixing it up by swapping specs. I am going to go with my druid as the tank and my pally as the healer. My druid has 38k health with kings and MoW and is over 44% dodge so I dont think that will be a problem. My pally tank turned healer will have a nice mix of all epic equip including all triumph gear and such.

The thing i am wondering about is the lack of instant cast heals on the pally vs the druid and lack of aoe healing. I have to move my team more in the icc 5 mans than in the old stuff and instant heals are a godsend especially aoe group heals. Does anyone use a holy pally to heal with exclusively? I'd like to know any tips or tricks you might have. I am going to try it out just to make things a bit harder if it even turns out that way. Hell with beacon of light i am thinking of just parking the dam plate wearing healer and just going to town with a neverending mana pool via innervate and divine plea. I want to try this out just to see how much more difficult it makes doing things with lack of instant heals and group healing. I wonder how much I will miss rejuv!

i dont box a holy pally but i do play one solo and id have to say that keeping up beacon on the tank wouldnt be that hard and would make things way easier. that way you can just spam your endless mana pools worth of heals on everyone else and the tank will always stay up in the aoe intense situations. just my 2c :)

The pally will be the hardest healer to go with, for a boxer.
They are the least mobile with the lowest AoE healing power.
Not saying it cannot be done, just that anything else is easier.

A Pally is the easiest tank to box with.
A Druid is a pretty decent tank as well.
A different style of play, but they both work quite well.

3x Elemental, can heal through all 5-man content, and quite well.
I'd consider having the Druid go Boomkin, since you're already at 80th with a good set of Resto gear.
You'd have to manage Eclispe.
If you're using a Click macro, have two... IS -- MF -- Wrath and IS -- MF -- Starfire.
Mash one until it procs Eclipse, then mash the other.
I've approximated mine, for ease of play:
Sequence 1: Wrath,Null
Sequence 2: IS,,,,,, comma's for my spam speed.
Sequence 3: MF,,,,, comma's for my spam speed.
Sequence 4: /castsequence Wr, Wr, Wr, Sf, Sf, Sf
If you have poor latency, you could turn #4 into several click macros instead.
Then pull macro's 2 and 3, for trash and put them back in for bosses.
Optionally have another for Faerie Fire, if you're talented in that, but you'll likely be hit capped for heroics without it.
