So now I have everything set up and it works great. Now I'm just looking for some gameplay strategies. For now, I just made a few trial accounts and am playing 3 mages to get the hang of things and see if multi-boxing is really for me. I've got a few questions, though.

How do you move? Do the additional accounts just follow the main account, with their movement keys unbound? Right now, I have my movement keys bound to the main guy. The alt accounts only have the arrow keys to turn (and the main account has the arrows unbound). That way I can turn the alts if they are not facing the same direction as my main.

How do you target? I know I can't click to target things, and I've found tab targeting to be tricky. Often times when it is crowded my guys will pick different targets. Do you use an make an assist macro to precede all spell casts?

What about looting? Will I have to select the correct character's window in order to loot or is there some way to macro that in?

Thanks a ton!

Yep you got it. /follow on all the alts. Completely unbinding movement on the alts is probably not a good idea, just switch them to key combos that you dont use very often OR the better idea is simply to add the movement keys to your "Do not pass" list in Keyclone, this makes it so only the character which you are controlling will recieve the keys.

There are numerous stickies about how to deal with targetting and setting up macros for spellcasts. This is the *BULK* of multiboxing, as well as the most complex part as far as I'm concerned.

Looting is annoying, you'll need to right click on the corpse for EACH character you want to loot the mob. The hardware only method of Multiboxing sort of solves this, but its not bulletproof and beyond the means of most Multiboxers.

Where can I find more information on this? =)

Thanks!

Hardware only method, involves having one computer per Instance of WoW.

Then people usually have a single wireless mouse, and a wireless reciever for each PC. There are some issues with it, diffrent resolutions, diffrent mouse speeds, even down as far as how close the wireless recievers are to the mouse thats controlling them.

It is the most effective way we've found for using the "click" spells, but unfortunately, is only viable for the 'elites' amongst us. :-)
