Well, I've played this game for what...5 years I guess, and have played exclusively Horde except for a few Alliance lowbies when my server was down (also Bonechewer the entire time). I'm leveling my Alliance team now (Bonechewer) and the girls are 46. I went to Hinterlands, knowing the huge amount of quests there for Horde, and only found about 10 quests...and 5 or so were "Collect 300 of something spread around the entire zone".
Where should I be headed to where quests are in the 48ish level zone? Like I said, all my background is Horde, and every time I go to where I know there are a ton of quests there aren't. I'm not using any sort of leveling guide, as I really wanted to experience the Alliance side "for the first time" so to speak.
As a side note, I've done ZF about 5 times now and cleared it the first time at 43, without so much as a death. This is without a tank. Man I love the buff to Fire Nova (and glyphed to 3 second cooldown)! I'm thinking of going to Sunken Temple, but if I remember correctly the last boss involves clicking all the statues or whatever in a certain order before jumping into the water. Think I'll skip that one for now.
Here's the zones I've cleared lately:
Most of Tanaris
All of STV
Can't find more than about 2 quests in Blasted Lands (not doing the collections at the entrance from SoS)
All of Swamp of Sorrows
Haven't been to Feralas because the only FP I know of for Alliance is at the border of 1k Needles
^ Same with Felwood
Another note is I usually try to do dungeons when I've got some rested XP.
Any idears?

Go back to feralas, go far west onto the island, Feathermoon Stronghold and check there for quests. Also Ungoro Crater will have a good number of quests. usually you would want to be near 50, but with a boxing group they should be trivial. When you hit 50, hit WPL and start the AD quests. Couple will send you into Scholo and Strat and EPL. At 55 Hit Silithus and do the AQish stuff there. 57/58ish, you should be able to do all the stratholme / scholo stuff if you don't head to outlands.

Ahh, I totally forgot about Feathermoon Stronghold. Yea, Ungoro was a little later on my list because I know it's 50ish. 45 to about 52 has always been a tough one for me even Horde side.
Thanks :)

Feralas like svpernova said, since it has two bird points
Felwood also has two bird points now (few patches ago)
Searing Gorge has a ton of quests if you haven't hit it yet.

[edit] Disregard. Geez. Guess I haven't leveled alliance out there since the new Horde coastal town was patched in. :P

Un'goro should have some quests aswell at your level.
ST with the statues isn't a problem with this map:

Eraknikus might be tough though, without a tank, but i think you'll manage.

Ooh, thanks Littleburst, that'll help big time. Maybe I'll try ST after all. Thanks all for the input.
Haha Pinot, you should've started on Bonechewer, we'd have a raid soon :) You're about where I am. That and I can level Horde sleeping as well, but this Alliance thingy is new to me...almost a new game. I'm actually enjoying leveling for the most part.

Level 48 as alliance...
These are the zones I hit, when I quest to level.
I'd look at... Stranglethorn Vale (44-45), Tanaris (45-46), Feralas (46-47), Hinterlands (47-48), Feralas (48-49), Tanaris (49-50), Searing Gorge (50-51), Ungoro (51-53), Felwood (53-54), Tanaris (54-54), Ungoro (54-55)....
I mostly follow the Brian Kopp alliance guide for 1st to 70th level content.
I skip a lot of the collection quests, now that 1st to 70th only requires 70% of the experience per level that it used to require when that content was the current stuff.
And the 2 pieces of BoA +experience gear help a lot too.

Siaea you should have rolled on Kiljaden those guys have a ton of boxers and do raids all the time. I hope I can endure the leveling so I can have some run raiding with other boxers. I am so lost on alliance.

with my 4 shaman team, I ran without a tank (and rare heals) from 30-60, exclusively in dungeons.
Scarlet Monastery to ZF to BRD, to LUBRS to outland where I switched over to questing.
During that time, I geared for pure dps. The cool thing about BRD and LUBRS is that the groups tend to be 3-5 at a time. Punch out the first 1-2 mobs before they get to you, and the chain lightning has probably spread the agro on the rest around. Whichever of your guys crits will get agro for each mob. Anyhow, I just committed to dps and killing them before they killed me and it worked all the way to 60. Try to keep up with good shields along the way, that's the only piece of gear I concentrated on.
