When I tell him to follow, unless I in that window, he just stands in the same spot until I go back to that box. Anyone know how I can fix this? I'm new to single computer boxing, and I haven't gotten any keybinder's yet. Was just planning on switching to the different boxes to do things, but this following thing has me confused already.

What software are you using to broadcast keys?

Make sure whatever software you're using you "do not pass" the movement keys (WASD). I'm guessing you already wrote a macro on your slave,

/tar Main
/follow

Or I think you can just do /follow main, I'm not at home ATM. What's probably happening if you're telling him to follow, then you hit your forward key, he'll automatically stop following since the "W" is getting passed to both windows. Not sure if that's your problem, but it's definitely a start.

Sorry, I apologize for not being very clear in my first post.... I haven't wrote any macros. Right now I was just trying to use the two windows and alt+tab ing out to my mains window. But when I move my main, the other is not following until I alt+tab to that window. Am I going to have to download one of the programs to make it work?

Yes, you have to have a keyboard broadcasting program. KeyClone is what I use, it's $20. HotKeyNet is free I believe, and ISBoxer I think is a paid program.

Scrump, if I understand your description correctly, you're talking about a /follow command, right? If you're telling the background guy to /follow in his own window but he doesn't, that has nothing to do with key broadcast software.

If so:

Did you try switching windows with the mouse instead of Alt Tab?

Which game are you playing?

Are you in full screen mode? If so, try windowed mode.

I have actually ran into the problem of having a toon on follow but the toon will not move unless I alt tab into his box.

I was running with windows 7, and ISBoxer and it only did it while I was full screen. I had to go to windowed mode to get them to follow in real time in the back ground.

(I now play with windows tiled instead of all full screen)

Ok, so how do I switch to windowed mode? And it is windows XP. And no, I didn't use the mouse to switch because I can't see the bar when I am in WoW.

If you click on video options, from within warcraft.
One of the options is for windowed mode.
