Such as missle barrage.... curious what people are going to do. My mages are about to hit 70

MSBT works off of combat log though IIRC. The combat log portions of both hotstreak and missile barrage are being taken out and only the buff remains active. As in... it activates with no combat log indication. So if MSBT works off of the combat log exclusively then it will not report these functions anyl onger unless it gets updated to do so.

As far as I know an addon/macro cannot detect if a buff is up or not.
It can detect if a buff/spell is cast, and record how long it will last.
And possibly warn you when it will expire soon.

But the addon cannot look at a brand new member of your group/raid, and say he has this buff or needs this buff.
If there's no indication in the combat log, then we'll have to manually notice and cast each action.
That or assume after 4x Arcane Blasts, we have a 91% chance of a missile barrage proc, and just macro it in after "x" casts.

Does anyone have any idea why this change was made? It's frustrating to have this information in the combat log and then after a patch have it removed (with no notice or blue post as far as I have been able to find with my searching).

someone f**ked up on their job maybe? I dunno, haven't run my pally team yet after maintenance, so I'm assuming this has affected Art of War with Rets too?

If you have the...
/cast Flash of Light (or Exorcism)
/stopcasting

In your click macro, it probably won't make any difference to you.
As you are automatically using it, every "x" seconds, if it has proc'd.

If you are waiting until you are notified of a proc and then proactively casting.
Then the notification end will be messed up some.
Note - Svpernova made a post today, regarding this exact issue and how to get around it.

if you are used to look your alts all the time you could use power auras. I did set it up for my boomkin and it basicly works. I made the indicator bigger so i can see it strait away after it procs.

I used to use proculas and have it announce in team chat when someone proc'ed.
I used it when I had a boomkin and it would say "eclipse" into chat and if I happened to see it I could change his spell casting bar ( /swapactionbar 2 ) . in the end, it was way too much work and I quit running with a boomkin and make him a healer instead ( and eventually removed proculas )

as for mages.... just cast 4 arcane blast and then arcane missles rinse repeat. mage needs to eat/drink all the damn time.

I like running with a frost mage in my team, it nerfs the mage DPS a little but I almost never have to stop and drink anymore due to the replenishment affect of the permanent pet.

It's not even the pet that gives the replenishment, so even if your pet wasn't permanent, you'd still get the replenishment as long as you have the talent for it.
