I can't figure out what's wrong here.

Ardrek seriously out gears Yarlii and has close to +500 spell power over him.
similar crit rating, similar haste and hit ratings so high that nobody could ever miss.
they only time Ardrek outshines the other locks is at a target dummy and the fight has to last at least 2 minutes, then ardrek has 500+ dps but a 60 second fight he's almost never on top and is usually 2 best (as far as my warlock team is concerned ).

my warlocks are really pissing me off... everyone else seems to have fairly nice DPS numbers out of theirs. If I stay at the boss target dummy a long time I can get ardrek to show over 4400 dps while yarlii only shows some 3900-4000 dps. they sux as far as dps numbers anywhere but the target dummies.

My first question would be what rotations are you using on your lock, especially the curses. Is one using curse of the elements (debuff) and the other using curse of agony (dps)?

Have 2 different macro's one for trash, just use soc, and one for boss.

Yeh probably have a different pet out?

Ardrek has Wayyyy too much hit, but the 500 spellpower makes a big difference.
As destruction they should both be using the imp as pet, and you need to set your rotation/macro up to deal properly with target changes and with immolate duration and cooldowns.

Ardrek does indeed have too much hit, and you are specced for 3% additional. I moved those 3 points on my lock into more destro and demo talents. see my toon "rhonolo" in my character list.

Their specs are both slightly different, Yarlii has soul link, which is mostly useless in a full destro build.

Definately make sure both locks use an imp. If you want to use another pet, dont use destro. You might benefit from one being demonology, as demonic pact will boost both locks spellpower, and its getting a slight buff next patch anyway.

Your glyphs are different. I dont use glyph of life tap any more, I use glyphs of immolate, incinerate, and conflagerate. I solved mana issues for my lock and for my party by speccing into improved soul leech. Get it on both of your locks. I moved the points in affliction, one in demonic embrace, and one in destructive reach to get room for it, and its helped a lot for raids, I rarely need to life tap, and can safely do so in between portions of the fight, rather than mid combat (like northrend beasts in ToC, perfect time to tap is between each set of beasts)

i use click macros, and upon advice from a guildie swapped my rotation from immolate conflagerate chaos bolt incinerate, to immolate chaos bolt conflagerate incinerate, as sometimes server lag caused conflagerate not to be castable, as the server hadnt registered immolate on the target yet.
