Started to multiboxing / duelboxing a week ago.. great fun:)
started with 2 accounts next day i got 5 accounts..

But when i visit Major cities. i do get lag. and its bad.
I bought Keyclone and very happy with it. i maximice all 5 windows. the 4 slave accounts has a very small window to the right side of my screen (i only run 1 monitor atm) they have the graphic settings to the lowest.
my main/master has use the lowest resolution. still i get lag.. so i thought of upgrading my system.. im not very good at picking parts so i was hoping for little help and experiance..

here is my current system:

I think my graphic card is good enough.. But i hear so much talking about I5 and i7 and to use DDR3 insted,, but i havent seen any said anything about AMD, i gues i need to get a new Mb since mine use ddr2 :s it seems that amd sockets are little cheaper then intel dunno why..

Any thoughts of a gd mb,cpu, ram i should get? i want to 5box on a singel pc with less lag :)

your green drives is the first nono.. wd green's have lower spindel speed, meaning less throughput of data overall. next glaring issue is your cpu, have had problems with non laggy systems running anything but the i7's honestly. you haven't heard much said about amd cause there isn't really much to be said, "flame on amd ppl" gpu isn't too steller, but I think you have more serious upgrades in your furture if you remain single boxing 5 wow accounts. you can get away with most content including bc till you get to northerend. many multiboxers never get their accounts all the way to 80 so if you are really committed to this, lvl your toons first i suppose. oh, how many ram kits are you running? 5boxing on my i7 tends to run at 8gigs so if you are runnin 2 2gig kits, then upgrade your ram first to at least 8gigs

may the boxing be with you....

upgrade your ram to 6gig at least, 8 gig preferably and then see. My biggest win was upgrading from 2 to 6 and i can pretty much run/fly anywhere exc. dalaran without lag. I have pretty much the same specs as yours.

Of course if you want high res and smooth gameplay then get the i7, depends on your budget.

If your motherboard takes ram in sets of 3's, go to 6gb.
If your motherboard takes ram in sets of 2's, go to 8gb.
You can always upgrade to more ram down the road, if you want more for some reason.
The DDR3 ram is comparably priced to the DDR2 at the moment, and 3 > 2 by a large amount.
Any brand name ram will do, I particularly like Patriot and Mushkin, but Corsair is good too.

I like the i7 920 the most.
Not overly familiar with i7 860 or i5 750.
I'd look at the motherboard types for each, particularly the type of ram you can use and what processors the board will accomodate, should you decide to upgrade in the future.

for the most part Ualaa is right on. The i5-750 is currently the best gaming bang for buck CPU. Will do great on WoW and most others. P55 motherboards are pretty close. Gigabyte and Asus are slightly ahead. 4x2G 1333 RAM will be fine, although it fills up most boards. 4 gig stick are starting to come down, but are still double the cost. Get a decent GPU and a SSD and you are set. You can try the 9800, but you will be upgrading that before long, I would not buy one now.

I found some goodies at a local store

Motherboard:
MSI P55-CD53, P55, Socket-1156, DDR3 (http://www.plforums.co.uk/k/ki.aspx?sku=491781)
DDRIII, ATX, 1xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16, GbLan(Winki), OC Ge

RAM:
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 8GB CL9 (http://www.plforums.co.uk/k/ki.aspx?sku=491303)
Kit w/4x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24

CPU:
Intel Core? i7 Quad Processor i7-860 (http://www.plforums.co.uk/k/ki.aspx?sku=492768)
Quad Core, 2.80Ghz, Socket 1156, 8MB, 95W,

SSD:
Intel X25-M SSD 80GB 2,5", (http://www.plforums.co.uk/k/ki.aspx?sku=485983)
for the ssd should i connect it to Raid0 slot in the motherboard? and when OS and all drivers are innstalled, then connect the other HDDs in sata 1and 2slot?
i think i will use two wow folders 1for master and 1 for slaves

CPU Cooler:
Cooler Master V10 CPU Kjøler (http://www.plforums.co.uk/k/ki.aspx?sku=456730) (now thats rockin!)

what you guys think? its costs a little but hopehopefully i wont be needing to upgrade for a year or 2
maybe more ssd, im happy with my graphic card tbh.
