Now this is aimed at the dual boxers (although multi boxers can still post their opinions)

I was curious to ask what do you find to be either the easiest or funnest setup to dual box and why?

Shammies in any number! Totems, heals, insane burst, non-mouse-targeted AoE, rez, self rez, totems, nearly all buffs in the game, totems, and I'm sure I'm missing something. Oh yea, totems!

for just dualboxing you could go with any 2 characters, but you usually want them to compliment each other:

Warlock + Shadowpriest
Warrior + Healer (shaman for windfury, druid for instant hots while running)
Hunter + Disc Priest
Shaman + Shaman for more and different totems to use
Rogue + Feral Druid

Some are harder to /macro or match, but isnt that what all the fun is about ? research and trying.

I wouldnt mind trying out a Mage + Ele Shaman combo, healing, portals, free food and drink, totems, res(After wipe self res and then res), high nuking power, both have melee based AoE without mouse targeting, slowing, CC, so many tricks to help you run away.
Did i miss anything :)
2x Pallys are also good for double Buffs and auras (I have 5, its a bit crazy)

Umm..... I dunno, I would always want a healer in there, just to decrease downtime. 2x Warlocks could be good with drain life being used when you start getting low on health.

I'm tempted to go Mage and moonkin. (one is 62 the other 64)

aoe farming with blizzard, starfall and hurricane. With resses and emergency healing if required.

Very much a team to muck about with when I'm not running with the guild or don't feel like farming instances.

My fiance dual-boxes with the following combos:

Bear Druid + Death Knight
Hunter + Mage
Paladin + Cat Druid
Rogue x 2

and she loves all of them :)

Balance druid + warlock

My friend in heroic gear does over 7k per boss with no heroism/blood lust while grouping with a gimped lock in his guild on his balance druid (it's even mostly healing gear)

Priest and mage is nice also - you'll do a lot of AE'ing :-)

Yep spam it and as long as you have click to move turned on they will follow them like deranged puppys.

Kind of tongue-in-cheek, but it will be fastest to realize 5 > 2.
A lot more fun combinations to try with 5.

For a long time, I ran: Priest/Mage, Druid(Dreamstate)/Warlock(Affliction) and Priest/Rogue.

Disc Priest + Hunter works out. I use my DP with 3 Hunters in tow, 2xBMs and 1xMM. I've cleared alot of dungeons at and around level for them, but haven't made it out of Outland yet. I box 4, but that duo is a good one too. You've got a dedicated healer, dps, and simi-tank. Same principal with a DP+Lock, or DK + Dp in tow healing. Pally tank and Priest healer might work out too.

In the old days (TBC) I did a prot warrior and resto shaman 1-70 together.
This was not the most fun.
If I ever did a "practical" group like that again, I'd change the tank to a druid for the extra buffs and stuff.

Sorry, whenever I think of "funnest" it ends up turning into logical or pragmatic. So what's the funnest?

For me that'd be hunter/warlock. 4boxing for the cost of 2boxing!
