Hello everyone, I have picked up multi-boxing yesterday after a year long break.
I used to play 5x shamans in TBC and it was great fun! Now that I have returned I have made a multi class team consisting of Paladin(prot)-warlock-mage-shaman-priest. If someone can comment on this setup or has any experience with the synergy of this comp. Any advice is welcome really!

Now, the real reason I am making this post is because right now, I am using keyclone. I think everything works great but I am using only the basic functions etc. As of now I am using a "Focustargettarget" healing macro. Meaning that I have to actually target a member of the party and press "ALT+1+ for a lesser heal on that toon. I am however sure that this is a really unneficient way of healing. I have been trying to figure out how to improve this by looking all over the forums and searching for similiar topics. I know there should be some but I had no succes in finding one that could explain to me how to heal by using mouseover or something else that works better than my current healing macro.

Good to be back,

Jordy

no matter how much i loved keyclone i have fallen in love with ISBoxer as many of us over here.
ISBoxer has a built in ability to multiplex your mousemoves and clicks to any or all other wow's.
The best part is the option to only use this within a selected region.

Using a addon like Healbot or Grid + Clique on all characters and adding a region on your lead toon that ONLY sends mouseclicks in that region to the healer you can heal simply by clicking inside that region on the player-healtbar that needs it.

ie. Leftclick is Flash heal, Rightclick is Powerword Shield, Mouse4 is Greater Heal, etc etc etc.

You can try out ISBoxer for 7 days iirc, might want to give that a try.

Only other option if you were to stick to keyclone would be using more and more Keys.
ie. F1 is flash heal character 1
F2 is flash heal character 2
etc etc
Shift+F1 is Powerword Shield character 1
etc etc
Alt+F1 is Greaterheal character 1
etc.....

I'll second the IS Boxer recommendation.

You get repeater regions, which make your healing so much easier.
Something like Vuhdo/Healbot for the frame + interpretation, or Grid/OpenRDX for the frame and Clique for the interpretation.
You can block the click on the local client, so they don't change targets, but send the click to a preconfigured group, such as the 'Healer' action target group.
You could have the priest in that group by default, and make a mapped key which can add or remove the shaman from that group on the fly, if you want the shammy to help on heals at times (or if the priest dies on a bad pull).

The Keymaps are incredibly flexible.
They control just about every aspect of how IS Boxer works.
You can target the active window, all windows but the active window, by slot (account), by toon name, by group (which you preconfigure) etc.
Keymaps can turn on and off other keymaps, which can be useful.

Mouse broadcasting is quick, easy and accurate.
For example, take the Warlock (Shadowfury), Mage (Blizzard) and Priest (Mass Dispel).
Create a couple Action Target Groups, called Broadcast 5 and Broadcast 9.
Let's say you put the Mage and Warlock into ATG-5 and the Priest into ATG-9.
You can set, "send next click" to ATG-5 as the target of your "5" key.
So when you press "5" that might be your 96969 macro on your Pally, your Click/Lightning Bolt on your shammy, but it is also Blizzard/Shadowfury on the Mage and Warlock.
And no matter what toon you are actively playing, you'll notice a target circle in their (Mage/Warlock) windows, which as you move the mouse on the main screen -- moves on their screens. Left click and their AoE's are targeted and mouse broadcasting turns off.

Well, amazing software, which I'd really recommend trying.
There is a 7 day trial, and a 14 day money back guarantee.
You could mess around with it for 3 weeks, without risk.

Many thanks to both of you for the great replies! It seems that ISboxer is indeed a better option atm for healing. I have already purchased a 90 day license and have played around with it for a bit. However I found it much harder to set it up than keyclone for some reason. Maybe because I am new to the software. I have checked your guide for help and even though its great help I still find it hard to set up properly.

This will ofcourse be fixed by putting time in learning how to set everything up and that is really not a big problem. However I can not find an option on ISboxer to turn off the maximiser. I really need to turn it off as for some reason it makes all of my windows drop to 10 fps. It has nothing to do with any options as I have checked all of them. It is just a bug or some kind of error that I can't seem to fix. I have the same problem with keyclone but I can simply switch the maximiser off there. Is there any way to fix this or turn the maximiser off?

Thanks!

EDIT!: Never mind! I have already found out its super easy to disable maximiser :) I'll get to work with Isboxer then :)

Hmm after reading this I am tempted myself to give ISboxer a go over keyclone. I dont normally use healbot on my healer(My solo raiding toon) but I can see how that would tie in really well with the regions if it carrys across the clicks.

It took me quite a few hours to set everything up for my team yesterday. But now that everything works my team runs through the dungeons like a train. I am loving playing a multi class team and the regions/FTL functions that ISboxer gives are simply amazing. Healing is incredibly easy to do and I just love to box with ISboxer! :)

Thanks for the help everyone!

Reading another thread, Donut is having a really hard time setting up FTL with keyclone.
It was the first program to allow for an FTL, through hotstrings.
With IS Boxer, just drag the spells to the action bar and there is auto FTL.
I couldn't get the hotstrings to work for KC FTL, but IS Boxer does it for us.

It's definitely got a ton of nice features.

As another multiboxer said:

IS/ISB = the hax. (in a positive way)

It's such a nice program. For me the learning curve was a bit steep to overcome at first since i'm a dumb ass, but now it works beautifully.

Theres also a Mirc channel on the webpage where all the kewl and helpfull guys hang out. They are often really helpfull.
