having sheleved my druid+4shaman to focus on leveling up my paladin team to join my level 80 dk, im starting to wonder if im makeing the macros alot harder than they needed to be.

atm im currently doing a random daily with my level 80 dk tanking for my group, im loveing it becuase i never need to stop and heal ever! i dont even really need to bother refreshing blessings, i just always make sure horn of winter is up.

the set up i have now for keycommands looks like a bunch of assist macros to the focus, i also have the same /assist /follow /stopcasting 'big button' macro ive used ever sice day one of boxing. I also use a button on my mouse i use a naga razer mouse the one with all the buttons on the side i mainly use the side 1-12 buttons for healing only. have one button where the auto run is to make the paladins intereact with target with click to move set.

the whole process seems to have become very messy and not at all smooth least of all my mouse seems to make it click out of wow which i keep windowed for other programs like itunes msn etc, so then the key passes dont send to the other screens. Putting the interact button on my keyboard would fix this, but its another button on my keyboard to mash.

I occasionally also get a problem with my toons running through the mob on auto run and although its sorted with the big follow focus button, its rather annoying.

so to break down my wall of text these are the questions i wanna know.

1/ how are you manageing the follow of focus/main, and your attack macros, and interact macros.

2/ is there a reason the paladins run through the mob when i press the interact with target button.

3/ when reading about the double press buttons, on different commands for up and down presses somthing done with isboxer, is this the prefered method, not had a go with this as i belive its done useing isboxer, ive been useing keyclone forever and would prefere to stick with this.

anyway any answers or advise would be great thanks guys

I use ISBoxer and #1 is taken care of. /assist and /focus are built in and I make a keymap for IWT, per Ualaa's post. It also helps with the IWT 'run through mob' bug.

I know that you said you use Keyclone, but I strongly recommend giving the ISBoxer trial a shot. Once you figure it out you have a ton more control.

If you insist on sticking with KC you are going to have to dig up some of the old FTL threads.

I too use IS Boxer.

So:

1)
For interact, I made a mapped key where the slaves assist the currently active toon, and then they all interact with target.

For the attack macros, this is also covered; drag each spell onto the slot, for example '1'. Press '1' with the active toon, and all the others auto-assist the active toon and then press '1' also. No need for macros, just drag the spells. Can use macros for a castsequence if you want, but again no need for assist in the macro.

I have a key for follow. I had another key for Strobe follow, the latter key is two steps where it enables and then disables strobe. Disabling strobe doesn't break follow but any movement key does. I've actually taken Strobe out of my system, but in the latest version of Jamba it has been fixed.

2)
The running action is based on how the game 'paths' an npc/mob from one location to another. You are essentially having the game run your pally as if it were a mob. When you press the key, you run to where the mob was when you pressed the key. If the mob moved, the movement is not precise. If you spam the key (like I do), they circle the mob rapidly because of the nature of pathing. Nothing you can do about this.

You could press the key once, and not spam it. And if the target moves, press it again once more. This will work for PvE, but will be useless in PvP.

If you are spamming, and the target dies... You will need to either give them a new target or quickly press your follow key (or have Strobe set to turn on automatically after combat). Any of these will prevent your toons from running off in random directions. The running about is software independent; it is how the game is coded.

3)
You can set up your IWT keys for key down and DPS on key up. Integrate the two key functions. Or you can go with two step mapped keys (IS Boxer), where press 1 is action 1, and press 2 (of the same key) is action 2. For up/down functionality you need either Snowfall (addon), Macaroon (addon) or IS Boxer (software); don't think any other addons/software takes advantage of the Keyboard API.
