i have 3 shamans im lvl'n named Lowerquality, nooquality, Lowstquality. they are lvl 61 on thunderlord. Im trying to set up a ftl system but the tutorials are not really clear . I get the concept, but seems like most tuts are not made for keyclone. and if they are, they are assuming I know how to use it alot better than it do.

okay here are my 3 basic questions -
1) how Would i write the key map for a simple lightning bolt.
2) do all the keymaps for every spell have to be different? or will it just use the basic keymap and the macros change the spell?
3.) when making a keymap, is the hotstring a real command or just a reminder for me? or sohuld i just put hot string as the key i want these to replace, such as " i "

the page i am referencing is http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Focusless_Targetless_Leaderless_Setup#Hotstrings_. 2F_Keymaps

To setup the example above you could define the following keymaps for each toon:
Keymap - Paladin: ‘1’ ---> ‘test’Keymap – Mage: ‘2’ ---> ‘test’Keymap – Warlock: ‘3’ ---> ‘test’what the fuck does this mean? test? i actualy typed this in verbatum like a retard ... yes nothing happened.

Next
Ctrl + Shift + key = ToonA is leaderCtrl + Alt + key = ToonB is leaderAlt + Shift + key= ToonC is leaderCtrl + Alt + Shift + key = ToonD is leaderCtrl + key = ToonE is leaderokay... and how do i impliment this into my key mapgame macro?

With this you could use the following macro bind on for ex. ‘2’ to do a Lightning Bolt:
/assist [mod:ctrl,mod:shift,nomod:alt]ToonA;[mod:ctrl,mod:alt,nomod:shift]ToonB;[mod:alt,mod:shift,nomod:ctrl]ToonC;[mod:ctrl,mod:alt,mod:shift]ToonD;[mod:ctrl,nomod:alt,nomod:shift]ToonE/cast [harm] Lightning Bolt/targetlasttarget(these are only two lines, split here for better visualization)

okay - i tried this. this is my macro I have set up now -

/assist [mod:ctrl,mod:Shift,nomod:alt]Lowerquality;[mod:ctrl,mod:alt,nomod:Shift]nooquality;[mod:alt,mod:Shift,nomod:ctrl]lowstquality;
/cast [harm] Lightning Bolt
/targetlasttarget
the spacing is diff so it doesnt type out. So..

I made a keymap for each toon, looks like this ill add a picture...

so i couldnt get past this....when i press 2 it does nothing, when i press i it doenst do anything... grrr it just sits here and does nothing or does not go to the "I" MACRO i had set up.... i know im prob a retard and doing shit wrong but i cant figure out how to set a master key and a slave key.... where do i do this?

im beginning to think i should drop keyclone and maybe go with another program? since keyclone doesnt have tuts that sseem to work for me... is there a better program for keymapping such as HotKeyNet ? im not using mulitple computers though so it seems like a time sink to set up networking stuff for 1 comps...

ISBoxer does FTL setup for you.

I know for a fact you can get FTL working with Keyclone.
And I know that I tried it a few times, and never managed to get it going.
There is a wiki entry for the FTL, if you care to mess around with Keyclone/FTL further.

IS Boxer is the simplest FTL, if you want another program.
During the wizard creation step, ensure the FTL (checkmarks) are different for each toon/slot if you change them, or leave them to the default settings.
Then, ensure you don't have any wow keybinds on Backspace (as that is by default an unbound key in wow, which is the default assist me key in IS Boxer).
And don't change settings for FTL inside of IS Boxer Toolkit... Three have FTL as "enabled" and everything else is "default".

Then you control any toon.
If you press "1", then each toon will do their move on "1", but auto assisting the lead toon.
You don't need macros on the "1", just drag spells right out of the spell book.

well, im using focus based targeting system now. but it is hard to change screens and the focus targeting sometimes buggs out and attacks wrong thing or starts to target the tank or somthing.

The wiki tells how to keymap, but doesnt explain how to make it work. Doesnt really explain the hotstrings or even how to make the hot string do anything. It just goes on as though you know 100% what to do. I am having problems even make a simple hotstring such as , if i press the key "1" on wow1 window, it will hotstring key "2" on wow2 window. even that set up doesnt work it just does nothing as if the hotstring is not there.

ISboxer cost monthly sub.... i already paid for keyclone , can you just use the isboxer ftl system without having to use the monthly sub ?

********* on my picture i posted, i copied it right off the wiki..... i doubt that is how you make your hot string.... what do i put in hotstring?

Hotstring is what? is that what the key is suppose to be turned into? such as key 1 is hotstringed into "2" ? or is hotstring a command such as "command.1.targettoona."

IS Boxer is $10 for a quarter of a year, or $36 per year.
You get 15 or 30 days extra if you mention a referral.

But it is a subscription.

Compared to Keyclone...
$20 per computer (as many accounts per computer as your system can handle) and each license is good forever.

Mouse Broadcasting is much more accurate and quick.
Can 'send next click' for very easy AoE targeting like Hurricane/Blizzard/MassDispel.
Can configure repeater regions for very easy/strong healing.
FTL is automatic.
Keymaps are very flexible/powerful macros or other actions... options like active window only, other windows without active window, specific toons as the target, all of (preconfigured groups) etc.
Virtual files get you the benefit of symlinks, without any hassles on patch day.
Very strong support from Lax, and IRC for support too with people in it 24/day.

Sorry cannot help you more with KC.
It is very good for I click this key and they all get that key.
But not so good for the mouse stuff.
FTL works, but isn't easy to set up.
