If you do not have an authenticator attached to your accounts, please check and see if your phone is supported. This is a simple (and cheaper than buying a $7 authenticator) way to protect your account. Make sure you read the FAQs about the authenticator. You'll also get a corepup in game pet just for adding the authenticator. Please take this easy step to keep your account secure. The only thing worse than getting an account hacked and stripped, is getting all five hacked and stripped.

Be sure to turn off the mobile app when not in use or it will destroy your battery life (that's my experience on the BlackBerry at least).

Amen to that!

So just to clarify, if you have all your teams on the same BNet account then you will need to enter in a seperate code for each account from the authenticator?
But if you had seperate BNet accounts you could enter the same for all accounts?
Not 100% sure of how this works and if I really want to add an authenticator BUT it can be unlinked if I do not like it?Correct?

yes, correct (all of it)

To unlink your accounts you need to have an email account ready for each new account (must be unique) and just call blizzard and they'll do it for you.

Of course, this could be changed at any time just like the previous change that broke 1 code for the same bnet account.

You can run it on Windows Mobile even if it's not officialy supported.
Works perfectly on my HTC Diamond.

which version runs on the Diamond? I have to HTC Touch Pro 2 and would love to run the authenticator on my phone instead of the hardware with no backlight etc lol.

If it won't run on your phone, you can buy a new one from all the helpful people posting ads (spam) in the Forums

Very surprised they don't have this for the iphone :(

I have the whole armory for iphone thing which is a bit of fun for when work gets boring but something like this would be awesome.

I have been reading about workarounds to get the authenticator to work on any Windows Mobile phone, I think my issue is that my carrier (Verizon Wireless) does not support it or possibly no billing deal with blizzard.
There should be no issue running the app on any Windows Mobile phone due to the nature of the OS I would think.

It's not a big deal to run the authentificator on windows mobile :
You have to download a classic java version for Motorolla with your PC Browser faking your user agent.
Install Midlet Manager on windows mobile to run java apps.
Et voila ! You have your authentificator on your windows mobile device.

Follow this guide :

How do they bill you if you are faking the phone carrier? Or is it not billed for :P
