Yeah,

last night I ran my group through Goldshire on my way to some quest, while all of a sudden I had a whisper:

"boon !"

Which opened a 5 Minute argument on how multiboxes do suck and are asocial beings and such, without even bringing a sinlge point into the discussion. After telling him tham we do not harm anyone the discussion started to escalate verbally from his side, so I put him on ingnore.

For the rest of the time I have to say, ppl. are rather interested in multiboxing and most of the talks are nice, some are curious and considered doing it themselves, som just say "if you have all th emoney to spend feel free".

I am level 27 on all toons now and I have to admit htat its really a lot of fun ;-)

Regards, Jens

Same here! Most of the ppl are actually very nice and ask me how to multibox etc.
The only haters i've seen is when I was doing some BG's at lvl 73.. Ppl don't really like me taking up 5 spots and being zerged by alliance :p

I have played wow since release. I have raided in a guild in vanilla before bwl broke it up. I had a full nightslayer suit for my rogue before most ppl ever thought of getting to ragnaros. I have leveled ever class in the game to 60 70 or 80 and I have done the pug thing countless times. I am the type of person that likes to do new things and the appeal of playing a full group of chars by myself sounded like too much fun. I started with two then went three and said wtf I'll just do five. What amazes me is that one person controlling all the party members doesnt wipe in dungeons compared to a bunch of stupid kids who whine over loot. I can do any 5 man contenet in the game myself all the older 70 -10 man content and even the 60- 40 man content. I never have to wait for a group. I never have to worry about afk players. I never have to hear loot whiners again. I have more gold than 90% of single players could ever get even if they played all day. I enjoy being able to get up and leave my computer for 20 mins and come back anytime I feel like it when I am in a dungeon. WoW is a multi *cough* player game. I would say most people think multi-player refers to having to socially interact with other people while you play. The only thing a multi-player game means is that multiple people can play it at once. The guy who said you were antisocial is just a dumbass kid with no money who can't afford to do what you do or he doesn't have the brain capacity to accomplish it. The reason those people hate multiboxers is that they are jealous little twits who have to type LF tank for H PoS for 40 minutes before they can zone in wipe 5 times then cry about how the other players in the group sucked meanwhile you cleared H FoS in 22 mins collected your loot and farmed for a hilt in H PoS and already reset the instance once while he got nothing. This is why hey hate us. To my knowledge I am the only 5 boxer on bloodscalp who plays horde and my guild One Man Raid will never have anymore members unless they 5 or more box. People spew their jealously on me all the time, I just laugh.

I usually reply with something like "Yes, you are right. I multibox so I don't have to party with useless pricks"

I'm starting to get it again. I'm leveling 5 alliance shaman on the same server my horde shaman are (which has been my server since I started playing 4+ years ago). Now that I'm a lowbie again, I'm getting it. It mainly stopped at 80. What's funny is the same people giving me hate is the same people I've 1 shotted in Wintergrasp, and they don't seem to recognize it :)

I get a lot of hate every couple days, mostly from those who don't know what multiboxing is lol. The most I get tho, is "why three dk and a druid?"

Lol then they inspect my toons and are in awe of my 5600 gear scores on all 4 and then they bitch about how boring but fun it is to heal/run heroics with me mostly because they really don't even need to be there and I'm tearing stuff up so well lol ahh the glory!

one guy I ran into yelled "MULTIBOXER!" multiple times..... so I started yelling back "SOLOBOXER!" I suppose I could have yelled "douche!"

@ gitcho, i raid 3 or 2 at a time, 4 at a time and one solo (ie my main) depending on the pug, guild, or friend group make up.

lol i've worked very hard on my dks, through boxing AND solo raids, my favorite was achieving a 10 man togc with 48 attempts left boxing my 3 dks lol lost the roll on all 4 trophies too >.< lmao

I just tend to agree with the haters. That usually takes the wind out of their sails. I just say "Thanks for letting me know!"

I have just started levelling my druid team and I was doing the Dolamar quests when some lvl 57 pally goes running past and /w me 'lol noob group'

so I sent back 'meh loser pally' and got called a cock sucker in return and put on his ignore list... so I switched to one of the other toons and tried talking to him again explaining that I was a multi-boxer... he said that as far as I was concerned, I wasnt showing respect to the game by multi-boxing and that he thought I was a no life loser.

So I tried to explain to him that there are some GM's who multi-box and were they showing disrespect to the game and he was like 'no... they have shown respect for the game by working for blizz'... so I asked him how, after levelling 5 solo toons to 80 I was showing no respect for a game I payed for to play and have fun... second toon on ignore...

So I switched to a third toon... and kept on chatting with him.

Explained to him a few of the reasons I have started boxing and then I hit him with one of my main reasons... 'That I cant be arsed trying to deal with crap pugs anymore' and suddenly he was all like 'If you had said that at the start, I would have behaved a bit differently'

So after a bit of effort on my part... someone who might have ended up a true hater has been re-educated about some of the reasons why we box and has a bit more respect for us.

After a little while you will finally get to the point where you just completely ignore the haters altogether.

Yea I get random hate on the semi-regular basis. I just /ignore immediately and move on. Besides I think it makes them more angry knowing I just doing give a crap what they have to say.

I've just started running random heroics with 3 of my locks (the other one I already geared up for solo play). I haven't had a single complaint so far. Even when I popped into occulus the first time, they were more curious how I was going to do it.

I guess the Cyclone battlegroup is more enlightened. I've only had a few haters and if they make the mistake of coming after me in /bg or another global channel, they get shouted down fast by the everyone else.

The worst I've had are the people that criticize my decision to spend the ungodly sum of $60 a month on this, because that's just stupid, right? That crowd is pretty easy to laugh off. They lack the imagination that anyone could be beyond minimum wage or allowance money.
