High End Crafted Gear

Hi all,
so I am wondering should I bite the bullet and get some high end crafted gear for my tank. He currently has no real issues with any heroic but I would like to get his GS up to above 5k so that he can run a pug here and there.
What are you guys doing on your tanks to get to 5k in GS? Any examples? If I use my current frost badges for a couple of upgrades I am still about 80pts below the magic 5k.

If you've got the cash to spend I'd say go for it and grab the sexy crafted stuff. Just make sure to maybe plan out which T10 pieces you will be getting in the near future so you don't spend a ton of money on something you're going to replace next week.

Assuming unlimited gold and no raiding whats the best GS or item numbers you can get crafting or buying on AH?

What percentage of T10 is that?

Easiest way to get that GS up is to make sure you have all the iL245 items from triumph badges so rings, helm, shoulder, (class item), one of the trinkets etc. The rest is T9. Run heroic frozen halls every day to fill out the rest with 231? gear like weapons, rings, trinkets, neck etc etc. There are a few other iL245 crafted items out there as well if you have mad cash to spend like bracers, chest and stuff. If you cant afford them, you can get the mats and prolly have someone make them for you. As far as T10 gear and crafted items go... Take a look at what drops in the first wing of ICC and dont buy any of that with your frost badges, maybe look at what drops in wing 2 and rule out that gear as well because you might get it on a pug.

shield 219 is from HoR normal, boss Marwyn: farmable.
try get weap 232 in new HCs.
one ring +200 you can find in ToC HC, or go for one from ICC rep.

you could buy in ah new feet/trousers slot lvl 264 item: with my server prices for both you need 35k or +(trousers are extremely rare to find crafted here, atm).

using addon gearscore : 5012. i can sub one trinket with one lvl 232, for increase a bit too. i have a couple of frost items (back and trinket), rest of gear is from hc or crafted by my other chars.

It looks like the shield is something worth trying for, although I have not clearing HoR yet :(
The rest of your gear is similar with slight upgrades here and there which seems to be boosting your overall GS. My tank does not have all his gear equipped so not a lot of point linking.
I have tried a little bit of the Ashen verdict rep grind but found it a bit of a struggle, mainly on mana and had a couple of nasty pully where I lost aggro and wiped :( (the adds that come down the stairs ran at my healer)

I am currently at 4950 GS but i will hit 5050 in 3 days when i get my badge gear upgrade.. My gear consists of crafted iLevel 245 items + iLevel 245 badge gear + iLevel 232 t9 and some iLevel 232 drops from the new heroics. I still have an iLevel 200 shield and a trinket. Ive never thought about farming HoR normal but I guess its worth the time.. Thx for the hint ;)
