What are your computer specs? It depends on that.

1: it depends on the system specs of the computers you have and how many accounts you want to use. I my self have a amd xp3200+ with 2gigs of ram and a ati radion x800xt that i use for 3 accounts and my laptop which is not super duper but its good enough for 3-4 accounts. I run 2 on my laptop it has 2 gigs of ram and a geforce go 6800 on it.

I have keyclone running on both computers and I use hotstrings so this is what it would look like for my 4 shamans to cast their lightning bolt.

setup>hotstrings

1= s.lightning
2 = s.heal
f = follow
5= s.totems
6 = drink
7= food
Save as Shaman setup 1

setup>hotstrings

q = s.lightning ( so on my pally when I hit Q it makes the shamans cast lightning bolt)
left ctrl +1 = s.heal ( this makes my shamans heal me)
f= follow (makes all chars follow pally)
T= s.totems ( makes all shamans drop totems in a cast sequence)
6= drink all 5 chars drink same time
7= food all 5 chars eat at the same time

Save as Pally setup 1

Then When I load all my wow accounts I load my hotstrings to each instance of wow to the correct locations
wow 1
wow 2
wow 3
wow 4 = load shaman setup 1 as hotstring
wow 5= pally setup 1 as hotstring.

Setup>>do not pass list>> check white list (doing this makes all other keys stop working and only allows the keys you select to be passed to all 5 windows>

then add these keys
up arrow
down arrow
T
q
f
1
6
7
left ctrl+1
space ( this makes all chars jump same time to avoid afk flag)

hope this helps you out pm me if you have any questions.

hi Chriz and welcome to the forums!

there are a couple of very useful posts.

my first recommendation would be to get a lay of the land.. a broad understanding of what it takes just to get started. for that, i recommend this post:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=3062

after that, there is a step-by-step guide to setting up:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=2074

as well as the 'how-to 5 box' which will show you everything:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=1767

as for personal contact... you have multiple options.. we are a fairly connected (and growing) community. obviously, you have the forums. then PMs. then instant message (many people will have their IM client just below their sigs).

but if you are looking for instant gratification, there is our vent server so you can actually talk to people:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=2567

and the IRC channel, where it seems most people hang out:
http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=900

of course, there is always the phone.

i hope that helps. good luck and have a great weekend!

Only somewhat relevant, but when designing an IT system, there is a common phrase that people use: Faster, Cheaper, Better. People always want their new system design all three ways. Almost always, you can only have two ways. You can have it cheap and fast, but it wont be of good quality.

In the same regard, Keyclone is $10 vs AHK Script which is free. Keyclone is hardly any setup, easy to use, and most people on this board support it. AHK is free, but requires extensive setup and creating your own custom scripts (if you're up to it).

Bottom line, spring for keyclone... its WELL worth it.

Search for posts by me. THere is a old auto hotkey script that I wrote that will help you out with dual boxing but you need to understand how AHK works in order to make changes to it.

pay the 10 bucks and use auto hotkey its much better.

You can find lots of AHK scripts in the AHK sticky. If you are not comfortable with coding those scripts or can't make out what is in those scripts then go with KeyClone.

So if i buy keyclone is it worth the money?

Keyclone is piss easy to use and well worth it.

Plus, if you can't figure something out, he gives excellent support and never sleeps.
