Hello guys, this is the first time posting on this website. I've been checking it out ever since I started boxing. Any who I play five elemental shamans on the Cho'gall server.
Now that the intro is done, I was wondering if there is an efficient way to grind arena points on my five shamans? I would like to have them each just lose 10 games a week, in all fields of arena such as 2's 3's and 5's, yet I'm not sure if I should actually try and play or just farm points. My gear is only deadly and this weekend I'm hoping to grind out wintergrasp and battlegrounds to obtain all of the non rating items I can get. Now the reason for my question is because I would like to farm points for relentless, so I can "Focus" on arena when I am fully geared. :) Also another issue, is getting points from a 2's team possible with five shamans? Or will I most likely have to make two 2's teams? Thanks for the help and keep up with this website, it really helps me a lot. :D

You could do what I do and try to win in 5s but still lose...
Seriously, I'm 0-6 right now, and most matches last about 30 seconds. When do you get points? On Tuesday?

Well when I first tried arena I went 4-6 with my full deadly gear. So hopefully the hit rating WILL help me a lot. Because I will now finally have four items with hit rating boosting me to over 6% I think. Anyways I guess I will just have to try a bit of everything. :)

[1] play a minimum of 10 arena games a week (~ 344 arena points / week in season 7 )
[2] do the pvp daily (~25 arena points / day )
If you've got stonekeepers shards, turn them in for honor and buy wrathful/relentless gear ... that's all that I know of ...

You only get arena points from one of your teams (the team that would grant you the most points) so losing in all 3 areas 10 games a week means you will ONLY get points from your 5v5 10 losses a week, as 5v5 awards the most arena points. Just lose 10 games a week in 5v5 and do the pvp daily as someone has already said. However if you:re looking to actually get into it later, instead of dancing, actually TRY to win your matches, but don't let it bother you if you don't. A lot of pvp is knowing what works and doesn't work in certain situations, and trying out different things, and basically being able to make those snap decisions without having to think, and this all comes from lots of playing and practice.

hey Elemental, it's Acid :D
I would def put effort into trying to win the games instead of just queuing up and loosing.
I wouldn't bother with 2s, esp since you have 5boxing and not 4boxing. You get more points from 5s.

You'll get 344 arena points in 5v5 anywhere from 0-1500 rating whether you win or lose. Just do 10 games.
I had some success last season doing 3x elemental shaman in 3v3, way undergeared. Got to 1550 and was able to get all my accessories. Of course, now that's just belt and boots. A lot of dumb comps 0-1500 are easy to counter, like double healer. You can hex and wind shear both healers and kill the rogue/warrior or whatever. There will also be a lot of bads playing legit comps (like RMP) that you can beat. But past 1500 a legit comp played right can't really be beaten due to all the counters.

Only bother with the 5v5, as the others are a waste of time if you're just interested in points.
Basically, you get 100% of the points that your rating would give you, if you were in 5's.
In 3's, you get 60% of the points that the same rating as a 5's would get you.
And 40% in 2's.
That's a rough approximation, but if you're not on a highly ranked team, 5's will be all your points.
You don't actually have to enter the arena.
You can queue your 10 games a week.
And then not bother to enter, which is a default loss.
But you're not wasting your time, and are earning the points.

Cool, thanks for the tips guys, I guess I will have to wait a few weeks/months before I have full relentless. But I guess I could attempt to get my rating up and possibly strangle one of my healer friends to assist me in fives while dropping a shaman. :)

Well.. trying to win, instead of just queuing will be a good option.
It might be frustrating.
But it will also show you what you need to do to improve.
And you'll gradually get wins from it, which will help your rating.
Which then opens up better gear.
Practice makes perfect.
