Hey I have been talking with some guys and they would be interested in Monday night 10 man ICC raids.
I don't want to try it this Monday but I thought we would discuss good times and such. I vote for 8pm EST. The reason for Monday nights is that way if you are an ICC rep farmer your lockout resets the next day.
Even if we get five guys running two toons each I would be down for that.
As it stands right now unless you are in the LOB sub raiding guild DIT the only way you can raid is if you PUG.
I say why PUG? We got all this firepower laying around let's use it and get some phat epics for our main teams.
We could always try 10 man Ony if we find ICC 10 man is too hard while we gel the new 10 man raiding team. Once we gel as a team we can talk to DIT and look into combining the two teams at doing 25 man content later on.
As it stands I can easily MT with my preist hard wired to heal me or run a team of 3 ranged DPS. I have already MTd and OTd some 10 man ICC pugs with my priest healing me with just GH spam.
So who else is down?
Post what you want to bring and what time is best for you?

Suggestion - before you show up to one of these raids, run your toon(s) through be.imba.hu or www.wow-heroes.com and fix the discrepancies.
Other than that, good luck! :D

Actually I was talking to some guys and the feeling is starting with 10 man TOC would be a much better choice. Give some ppl a chance to fill in some weak gear spots and gel as a raiding team. Once we have 10 man TOC on farm then we can do like TOC/Ony in one night then move on to ICC a few weeks and or months down the road.

Pretty cool site I ran all my guys through it everyone except my mage, I just recently brought her from retirement, is equipped to handle all the way to ICC 25 and they had no recommended upgrades to gems/enchants. All their gear can only be upgraded VIA frost badges, 10 and 25 man ICC drops.
I assume the other one is a download I will have to check that out as well.

I was wondering the same thing...why there wasn't a second raid that was getting started for ToC/ToGC/ICC since there are probably enough people to do it.

This could be sexy.

If you get particularly stuck and need me to fill in from time to time, I'm happy to help however I can.
The only 80s I have who aren't spoken for are my resto/enhance shammy (geared in both specs) and a prot warrior (who is definitely not geared enough)

After talking to some more of our expereinced raiders the feeling I get is that we should start with TOC10 and progress from there.
The nice thing about that is the DIT guys who have alts they want to gear up can come along and not mess up their main raiders. Also our newer 80s who have not geared up yet can still do TOC10.
So far for time slots we are talking 8pm or 9pm est.
I will hammer on the vent guys to get in here and post some about this.

I'm more than willing to help out with minimum gear needed / strategies / group comp discussion that you guys may need. I'd love to see another successful raiding group. Organization is your biggest key to success here. DiT is successful because Toraneko hits me with a stun gun when i get out of line.

Week ights I can only make it after 5 server time, so 9pm est works better for me. I can bring my tank, or caster dps on my Mage, lock, priest or shaman. I've got 4 fairly geared toons.
We should do ony, as it drops pretty good loot, and is quick. Then toc if we still have time/interest.
Ideally we would like to progress to icc as soon as possible.

I agree with David after looking at the 25 toons that showed up for ICC 25 man rep farm last night I realized TOC10 would just be a waste of time loot wise.
What I would put forwards is this
On Monday Feb 8th we do a 10 man ONY run using LOB vent. Everyone hop on around 8:30 EST so we can discuss a group setup.
Ideally we want guys who are playing more than one toon to use ones that work in Synergy.
IE you bring along 3 ranged DPS or you bring two healers or a healer and a tank.
Expect the first night to take a bit to setup and to gel. I have no doubt we can drop 10 man Ony but until we figure out who is raiding on what toons we may take a few wipes.
Once we gel as a raiding team on Ony 10 we can start a 10 man ICC and go from there.
If you are interested post what you would like to play.
I can run a tank with a dedicated healer
3 Ranged DPS
or just play my preist to heal the DPS

I am able to bring my DK. I have better tanking gears than dps gears currently. My DK is at 541 def with 29k hp unbuffed with 41% evasion. I can prob bring my DK to OT adds without too much issue.
DPS wise, I can probably pull 2.2k dps against level 83... It's still very low but that should improve by 2/8 since I can zerg heroics as a tank.

I agree with David after looking at the 25 toons that showed up for ICC 25 man rep farm last night I realized TOC10 would just be a waste of time loot wise. Its invaluable practice though. And there are slots you can't fill with badges - ToC10 loot will help here. Don't do it for the loot - do it for the accomplishment.
Actually, if you're dead serious about this. Take the 25 man group through OS25. See who gets flame waved (one flame wave can nuke a 10 boxer - thats 1/3 of your raid). Then take them through Naxx - see if they can dance. Then see if they can handle Grobbulus (I have major problems on that guy myself!)
These are fundamental "raid boxing" fights. Start in Naxx so you can recover from mistakes, but you can get a firm grasp at where there the problems may lie.
that said.
and huge THANK YOU to Phanes for making the attempt to get this going. This is what I've always wanted in the guild... more than just me putting things together. :D

I saw Fur's post and just wanted to make a comment or three.
The most important thing for me in raiding isn't the loot, it isn't the server first kills and it isn't about being better than everyone else. The most important thing for me in raiding has always been achieving a common goal with a team. I want to be able to kick some big bad scary monster ass with my 9 (or 24) friends and know that we worked together as a team to win.
Some of the best memories I have of raiding are times when we were all laughing and joking or doing random silly things to bond, the in-jokes that come from a group of people who know each other really well.
I think that running the lower level content to gain some experience is less about the loot and experience and more about learning your teammates. For me as a healer that means learning how my tanks are going to move and pick things up, or knowing and trusting that the other healers I heal with can land that clutch heal at just the right moment, or knowing that the dps are gonna save my squishy tree butt with some nifty CC when things are trying to nom my branches right off.
When we started DiT on Madoran - we made sure that we picked people based on their personalities not on the gear that they brought to the table and even though we out-geared Naxx, we cruised on over so we could learn each other and not fight the content at the same time. I highly recommend doing the same with the new group, the bonding helps a lot in forming a cohesive team.
The reason DiT is so tight knit, is because we took the time and spent hours to bond as a team. If we weren't so close and didn't mesh so well as a team, we wouldn't have all landed in the same place again.
I'm very much looking forward to getting to know all of you.

I'd be very interested in running with a set group of guildies instead of random PuGs.
I was able to run 9 of my toons through at least the first four bosses of ICC10 last week in PuGs. PuGs are OK, but guildies would be much better. I'm kind of in agreement with Phanes' last post, though. I really don't think a group of decently geared players need to spend time in Naxx to do ICC10. Having done it nine times last week, it is very apparent to me that a random group of folks with decent gear can do at least the first four bosses with no problem. Seems to me we could kill two birds with one stone by running ICC10 (instead of Naxx) to get to know each other, then all switch to alts and run ICC10 to cement things. I'm not afraid of a few wipes.
I get sufficient play time, but my big problem is that my wife wants some time with me each night that tends to fit in the middle of typical raiding time. And she is much more important than any WoW stuff, so when she wants it, she gets priority. Anyway, she tends to get home sometime between 5:30 and 7 PM server time and want 90 minutes of my undivided attention then. So raids from 2:30-5:30 server or 8:30-10:30 PM I could plan on, but that leaves a big gap where I may or may not be available (just depends on the night).
The best times for me are the weekends, where I'm very flexible and can plan on being on at just about any predetermined time between 6 AM and 4:30 PM on Saturdays or 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM on Sundays.
So there you have it - more options if anyone is interested in those times. If not, feel free to send me a tell in game when you are organizing and if I can I'll jump in.
