Hi All,

After almost bashing my own head in I thought I might ask the braintrust here at dual-boxing.com ,)

I just started 5 boxing after 2 boxing using isboxer for a while.

My setups is as follows:

1x laptop running 3x clients (slaves/dps)
1x laptop running 2x client (tank and healer)

I have no problem starting all the clients, getting them invited and follow is working (with strobing)

Here is my problem:
When I target something with my tank and want to cast spells, only the healer toon will react and start casting spells, in some cases pressing the button 1 before starting to cast spells works (the 3 other toons will then cast spells) but just pressing 2 will only work with the tank and the healer toon. Needless to say that interact with target doesnt work either.

*edit* After looking at the console I can see that It has some errors saying Alt-Backspace could not be parsed, so it seems the assist part is not working?

Here is what I have tried:
I have tried adding the FTL modifier keys with a unquie modifier key for each toon on each character set and then adding them to the FTL assist macro, with no change what so ever.

Setting up a macro with focustarget works fine, but I would really not start to make macroes for all my spells.

It was so much easier with 2 toons on one machine cause everything just worked out of the box so to speak, and I cant imagine running isboxer on 2 machines being that much more difficult.

So what am I missing?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Lax put up a help file aimed at using multiple machines. I have not read it as I only have one. Look in the IS page in the file list on main IS page.

Ok, just thought I might post the solution here if any else had the problem.

The issue was related to the FTL modifier keys, I put great effort into not having the same modifier on each toon.

Solution:

Dont be afraid to put the same modifers on different character sets (in my case I used left shift, right shift on character set 1 and left shift, right shift, right ctrl on character set 2)

This solved the problem ,) (and of course you should also use the assist macro from the post above)

With Multiple computers you have to specify the actual names.

Lax has a great walkthrough on his webpage that helps you through it.

This is a copy of my ftl assist macro in ISboxer.

/assist [nomod]player;[nomod:alt,nomod:shift,mod:lctrl]Bleü;[mod:lalt,mod:rshift,nomod:ctrl]Swïss;[nomod:alt,mod:lshift,nomod:ctrl]Ghouda;[nomod:alt,mod:rshift,nomod:ctrl]Chedda;[nomod:alt,nomod:shift,mod:lctrl]Fermunda

Ok I thought I might as well post the cause of my problems and the solution.

(thanks goes to Lax and Svpernova09)

My problems was my input locale, the 2 machines had different input locale so the keys where not broadcasted correctly.

Solution:

Put a unique FTL modifier on each toon.
Follow the assist macro fix for multiple computers posted above
Set the input locale to American on both machines
Restart isboxer and innerspace
Load your character sets

*hint you can press F12 in game to see the console, if there are errors like "Could not parse <key>" then you might have this problem

Im off to Ragefire Chasm ;)
