Hi everyone,

Those of you been logging on recently may of noticed ive been putting up some Guild Messages about weekly raids.

This is true and its going to happen and become regular with the same group, but because of the vast volume of characters in the guild i cant invite members to see who can sign up.

Im currently looking for 9 dedicated players (and 9 subs for players who take spots for those who cant make it) who will be available for weekly raids, these will include the following:

TotC, Onxy, ICC ( we will do totgc if we dominate toc normal.

i need the following:

Its important you have experience in raiding if you dont we can talk about it - pm me

SLOT 1 Main Tank - Merujo? AOE, Twjz?,
SLOT 2 Off Tank - Twjz, AOE?

Healers:

SLOT3 Funkbeefs - Shaman - dedicated healer?
SLOT4 Woko - Priest

Melee DPS

SLOT 5 Warrior - Merujo
SLOT 6 Paladin - Murkage
SLOT 7 Paladin AOE? (OPEN SLOT)

Ranged DPS IMPORTANT - will need a Shaman or a Priest/Pally who can offspec heal for hard boss encounter some may need 3 healers.

SLOT 8 Ryuuku - Mage
SLOT 9 Littleburst - Shaman (can swap to resto for raid healing.
SLOT 10 (OPEN SLOT) very important we get imba dps here

Sub Slots Please note:

Just because there's only 10 SLOTS does not mean there is only 10 players. Some of us may not be able to turn up because of life issues so anyone who wants to become a SUB for any of the 10 slots then tell me and i can put you on the SUB list.
For whatever circumstances you want to take a different SLOT that's fine long as its agreed.

After we have our raid assembled I like to get everyone to go through a test run in some 3.0 raids. This is to see how we are performing in raids being overgeard so we can nail out issues. Naxx, OS, EOE.

im hoping to clear toc, onyx, icc every week

and if toc10 sucks too much because the loot there isnt that great. we can try heroic mode instead

Ok we now need 2 melee dps and 1 MT and we are ready, i hope to have a raid ready by end of the week for trial runs.

We will be looking at raiding between 1 and 3 times a week, nothing hardcore. will update guild info later tonight

Ok we are now almost done and that means this week we will start raiding. i will update guild info and put an event in for this week and post a time frame that we all can agree with. This will be put into debate by all participants.

I got a plan for us to do Onyx10 after we do a test run (OS/Naxx)

can we have your lock for ranged dps SLOT 10? of course this is completely up to you but a lock instead of another shaman is a must.

ok everyone from the looks of things we are ready to begin our raids:

i got the following time frames in mind for first raid run (this does not mean its final times, its just for the first run)

1. Friday from 7pm until late
2. Sat from 7pm until late
3, Sunday from 7pm until 12pm

personally im not keen on sundays, i just want to kick back but its up to everyone else.

all vote, the most votes wins by popular demand. please pick one, we are starting off casually , i would recommend a friday night but all vote and decide what day works with you.

weekday raids will be sorted out later providing someone is signing up to be weekday raid leader.

I'd like the Saturday night, at 7pm because i got my Hockey Coaching and Umpiring assesment early the next morning.
Also, whats everyones views on raid times when we get into the swing of things? I'd like weekdays preferably, or Sunday afternoons but i am flexible to a certain extent.

10pm server time is actually 9pm at Portugal-UK-Iceland. At least on Friday, it's gives time to arrive home, make dinner and such. I only arrive home at 8pm server time, so u see my problem. Since on Sat most don't work, i guess we could stay a bit longer, until 2 or 3am server time.

But for some, i know 10pm server time is 11pm or 00 in their country's, so, let's see what everyone has to say.

Guys?? I can't believe after all the hype you guys didn't show, some of us dedicated guys were there waiting from before 10 till 10 30 and it really hit hard that the majority still didn't show. I know some people took it much harder than others.
You guys need to actually think about whether you wanna raid?

seriously guys, if you say your going to come please turn up, if you cant make it let me know in advance so i can organise guild replacements.

i dont want pugs, but if people dont turn up and guild members are not available on-line aswell then havnt got much choice.

We were discussing raid times, and all of the sudden there was a raid i was supposed to appear today, and everyone's bashing, rofl.
If u were so serious, why didn't u warned me that i didn't confirmed my spot on the raid? i was playing till 8server time or whatever. Read the gmotd a few times and never understood i was supposed to see the calendar to go raids, or that there would be a raid today.

it was discussed above, for this week then a raiding time was talked about. it was'nt this day at this time direct because it was being decided through player responses.

as being our first run it had to be this way.

it has been miss understood, since you turned up last night meru and created a raid this has saved us, so i thank you for that.

i know one of you has pc problem, its ok shit happens and you told us before hand which is fine.

will sort out a new raid abit later.

Honestly it looks like only multiboxers are interested in a real raid.. why dont we set up a 25 man multiboxer raid with maybe 2-3 solos? we have enough 5boxer who are well geared i think.. it would be worth a try and a lot of fun for sure :)

I very much doubt its going the 25 mans going to happen, so for me this means a guild change i think. I geared up all ready for the raid that never happened and im not wasting my gear or time, I will communicate through alts and I will be back when my shamans near 80.

Honestly I think the 25 man raid is more likely to happen than the 10man solo raid..

Im definitely in with my 5 chars (or less depending on how many solo chars are online):

Destro Warlock
2x Ele Shaman (maybe respecc one to resto)
Tankadin (GS around 5k.. should be fine for the first tries.. He could respecc to Holy too if we have enough tanks)

First thing, thank you very much for taking care of this. I am Gorgorotha/Rubhen from the GIMP and here's some thoughts and a few questions.

The guild isn't a multiboxing only as we all know but we're a lot of multiboxers here. The sudden growth is quite recent and as far as I can tell we're still suffering from growth aches (you know like some teens do...) and till everything settles down for good a lot will happen. By a lot I mean, there'll be people quitting, people leaving and some others will just find their space, fite cozy and nicely and those will be the guild's main tissue in the upcoming months.
That said, and in my own personal perspective, it's much more difficult to organize things with a group of multiboxers than with a group of solo players. Multiboxing is a "loner" thing in the essence, call it any other name you want though :). And putting together a bunch of loners is a hard task. I, for example started 10 boxing because I was really fed up of the raiding environment guilds offered and still wanted to raid...

By not means I want to discourage you and I'll gladly help in any way I can.

What would be good, would be to setup goals, step by step, work on a raiding flow. If it's not easy to get immediate performance with 10 people, imagine that with 5*2 or 3*3+1 or any combination.

S8 was for me 0 pve so I'm not really aware of how boxeable raids are nowadays. Back in my 10 boxing days, I 10boxed voa first boss but had to adapt and 8 box it with Dix (former dualboxer, now playing rogue in the guild). Same thing, I was able to 10 box some Naxx bosses but had to adapt my strategy and 8 box most of it and 6 box the last two. Same for Sartharion bla bla bla bla...

So, that said, I would even consider to start boxing:

1) VoA - to get the feel, for people to adapt for macros to be tuned up for raid environment, ... Both 10 and 25m
2) Naxx - Yeah, nothing of interest there for anyone, true but what an awesome training ground for the group...

Then, please start a thread discussing Ulduar, ToC, ICC(?), for those with raid (even solo) experience, what can be boxed in you opinion, what cannot and why, with links to the default strategy sites (wowwiki, or whatever) and how to adapt to a multiboxing environment.

I think that this is the hard way in terms of preparation but in the end raid results will be much better. The worst thing that can happen to a guild, a group, a raid is to go there with all the good will and motivation in the world and fail because people are just not prepared. Wow is a 80% gear dependant game but those other 20% are skill and preparation and that's what makes bosses easy or hard.

As an example of preparation, first VoA boss, when it first came out, I get my Pala+Shaman Group, all full heroism/heroic gear and my other group, dk and a few more casters all in nice shiny blues one one greeny here and there. I read all about the boss, I was damn prepared for the tank switch and all, I was running two healers (always did my 10 bow with it). I used every tactic I've read about and I always failed miserably. I was the first to 10m it so there was no tactic available here neither. So what I did was like the opposite of what 10m raids did, I packed my 10 guys at the feet of the boss, I healed over the aoe and I downed him at the first try. It was after like 7 wipes and the problem was I wasn't prepared. After I found the way to do it, it was a one shot 100% of the time. So that's why it's important to discuss it with people with experience.

Another example and I guess we all do have them, when 10 boxing Patchwerk, with the same group as above, every time I used 2 tanks I wiped because I had read about the need for it (remeber I was undergeared not overgeared for the instance :p). So, I started using just one and healers would just spam him and it was os 100% of the time.

Let's open a thread for 10-25m boxing strategies so we can discuss, share it with other people here, the way I did when i was 10 boxing.

In the end I dont care if its 10 or 25man, if im multiboxing or soloboxing it.. I want to start raiding to see the end game content and as a sideeffect get to know ppl in the guild better.. Challenge is what Im looking for ;)

I think I have a lot multiboxing raid experience and I would like to share and discuss strategies of course..

I agree with Gorgorotha. I dont know if Onyxia is the best encounter to start raiding.. We might profit a lot more starting with some Naxx encounters to see how it goes (in case we are 25man raiding, 10man is something different of course)..

One thing Ive learned is that you need patience and some wipes to learn how the encounter works and what you gotta do to get the best results..

I don't really mind what we're raiding, if we would succeed in naxx 25 i'd be happy enough :)

I prefer boxing aswell.. and i agree with Gorgo. Lately i have been relaxing as i know some will leave, some will do other stuff, and some will stay, in time the ppl thats left in the guild will probably find something to do that fits us well =) That said, im happy about all the new ppl, most of u/them are great ppl, and we can do fun stuff no matter what guild/playstyle u prefer. As i have said before, i hope we can do some world pvp and pve togheter soon =) For those who prefer single raiding, i suggest u join a raid guild with ur raiding char, as some boxers already did, cause most ppl dont got time to box 5 man, box pvp and start doing single raiding aswell... pugs sure, but not serious raiding where u can expect some progress. We are not a hardcore raiding guild, and i doubt we ever will be. If u expect us to be something we are not, u will for sure be disapointed :p ...and as we can see, most boxers take breaks from time to time, i think that is healthy haha, but ofc hard to plan raids like that :D Just my opinion =)

I can raid single box with these two pretty much anytime after 20:00 hours server time.. kid is asleep then.
