View Full Version : Time to say goodbye

As some of the old-timers around here will know, I've been five-boxing since early 2007 and always had an absolute ball. I'm not at all certain I would even still be playing WoW had it not been for boxing.
But now it's time for me to stop. I've done everything I want to, can't upgrade my characters any further than they currently are without raiding, and really don't have any "fun" goals for my teams any more.
One of the really big advantages for me was the ability to run a heroic or ten whenever I wanted to, without having to go through the drama and trauma of having to actually find a group.
With the dungeon finder (which works really well in my experience to date), even that's no longer necessary and with only Emblems of Frost having any use whatsoever to me there's no point in even doing more than one per day anyway.
So on Saturday I cancelled five of my seven accounts and I'm just going to solo play one druid and one shammy, raiding, although even that's lost it's shine for me at the moment. I'll get them both on one account some time soon.
Maybe I'll start again with the expansion, but that seems really unlikely at the moment.
Good luck everyone. I wish the new starters at least as much fun as I've had over the years. It really has been a blast, and to see the way multiboxing software has advanced in that time has been truly mind-blowing.
Take care all,
Otlecs, signing out.

Good luck, see ya next time.
Enjoy yourself with whatever you do.
Also I hear for every 5-boxer that resigns, a 10 boxer is born.

Good luck, wherever the winds of fate take you.
If you change your mind, your toons will be there.
They'll miss you, as we will.

Just remember what old Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

pretty much everyone in my guild is as geared out as you can get without raiding. I have 18 or so level 80s so I've been spending each night trying to get all 18 of them their frost badges...
I hate raiding myself... I can spend 4 hours on one toon getting 2->8 frost badges only to loose any rolls when something good drops. Or run my 18 guys through heroics and get 36 frost badges.

Welcome to denial - population you.
You only get two SPENDABLE frost badges. "36" is just a number you're using to make yourself feel better about your time spent.
