Thought this looked kinda cool for a vent hotkey or something, A LOT cheaper than the x-keys foot peddle.

$40 for 3 buttons? I quess you can tie them together like 5 total. nice idea and yes, vent or maybe switch views like slaves to web page and back.

Or...make a ghetto footpad from an old keyboard and rebind things accordingly.

I bought the original stealthswitch to use as a vent key - but it only clicked, you couldn't hold it down

If they've fixed that (can't see that site from work...) then it would be great.

>make a ghetto footpad from an old keyboard
Have you actually tried that? It's not easy, keyboards are quite complex.

I haven't, but someone else here has in the past, not sure where the post is.

It's $45 for a single switch... x-keys is $120 for 3...

Now if you add the 4 additional for $15 each, you have a better cost-per-button, however you have more junk under your desk as well.

I haven't cracked my x-keys to confirm but I suspect I can convert my 20 keys x-keys into up to a 120 key device... I'll be making a trip to radio shack in the near future to test this.

Depends what keyboard I used an USB Numpadkeyboard:

Works good.. need to rework it a bit to fit my feets better. Total cost was about 70$ (I'm not using $ here so it's not exakt :p)
