Hey guys have a few questions on what the best way to do some of he bosses while im boxing melee any help would be greatly appreciated.

Utgarde Pinnacle:
A)Skadi The whirlwind attack he does is it best to just have them reverse and then continue the DPS?

Nexus:
A) Grand Magus: dealing with her Aoe and her toss move
B) Ormorok: His ICE AOE move

DrakTharon:
A) Novos and his ice move:

Gundrak:
A) Galdarah Damn whilwind again
B) Colossus and the elemental pool of good

Violet Hold:
A) Ichoron

Halls of Stone:
A) Maiden of Grief and her black pool of DOOOOOOM :P
B) Bran Bronzebeard even specifically the AOE fire dmg on a target

Halls of Lightning:
A) Ionar the explode move he does I figure I could just bubble when he does that but was wondering about a better way

Azjol-Nerub:
A) Hadronox I figue cleans like a mad man
B) Anubarak Dealing when he burrows all on follow and hope you dont get hit?

Ahnkahet:
A) Herald Volazj : dealing when he makes your team attack each other best ways to deal with this? As shamen I would just put down my fire totems as melee not quite sure

Trial of the Champion:
A) Black Knight and his evil AOE

Forge of Souls: Last but not least
A) BronJahm because everyone is up on him whats the best way to work around his little orb things that he does I figure I could kite him but is there a better way?
B) Devourer of Souls: basically this entire fight

Really my problem seems to be AOE moves whats the best way to counter this?

For Skadi, bubble on his Whirlwind he should die after only doing it once. If you don't have bubble taunt him and break follow on your other characters and make sure to retaunt him while running away.

Grand Magus just DPS her down basically and heal up when needed - didn't really have a problem on this fight
Ormorok isn't too bad, just tank inside of him and your melee should also be inside of him almost always missing the aoe ice move.

Novos fight wasn't bad at all, the blizzard doesn't do much damage. If you want just circle around him.

Galdarah - I have to bubble for the whirlwind that he does, if your fast and can't bubble break follow and spread apart.
Collossus - back pedal and kite him on the elemental phase the entire time, your team should take no damage this way.

Ichiron - He's a super pita, just try to blow up stuff asap lol. Your characters will get seperated but IWT will bring them back together just spam dps on the little guys.

Maiden of Grief, the black pool isn't an issue. I did this instance with basically no gear and got the achievement for downing her in under a minute.
Bran Bronzebeard event is super easy with a melee team, just bounce around the entire time - the fire damage doesn't hurt too bad if your always moving you'll get hit once and that's it.

Ionar - rotate divine sacrifices if you have Paladins. If you have something else *shrug*

Hadronox isn't bad, just cleanse and move out of the green stuff
Anubarak - bounce around the entire time when he burrows. Your melee so you can always be mobile.

Herald Volazj if your using any type of FTL setup, just spam your DPS keys - this fight is insanely easy.

Black Knight - hopefully you have some type of Shadow resist in your party which helps a lot. Burn him down, can rotate divine sacrifices - lots of tools to end him.

BronJahm, I put on Seal of Corruption and just DPS him down. You need to have a decent amount of gear before you can drop this bad boy on heroic but you can't even enter until you have good gear anyways so once you do get in it's not a problem.

Devourer of Souls is actually pretty smooth. DPS him down fast in the beginning, I even dps him during the mirror'd soul phase since my gear is pretty good now. Once he drops the pool of bad on the ground just move him to a new spot.
When he gets low he does the death ray beam, if your not quick enough to dodge it ( you can take 2-3 hits of it before you die ) just bubble or divine sacrifice.

Overall for AoE moves they are the hardest to deal with but as mentioned above a couple times. Bubble to straight avoid it or Divine Sacrifice + Bubble rotated gives you 40 seconds + of mitigated damage for your entire group if your running 1 DK + 4 Rets.

I am under the assumption from your sig that you melee dk's and pally's. Knowing which is tanking would help also. Heroics I assume as well.

Skadi +Galdarah : Play him a few times on normal to get a feel for when he's gonna whirl, Im almost 100% its timed not hp based. Spread out or back followers 2-3 seconds before it and kite him away, resume dps after.

Grand Magus: I find this fight to be easier with melee as you dont need to reface or worry about postioning with melee. Keep them on IWT the whole fight, when she toss's you just get in her face again. For the copies pull out any aoe you have and burst them down, or cc them with a repent/silence. Her fire bomb will probably be more deadly then anything.

Ormorok : Have everyone stay on the tank, if your just about in his hitbox he shouldnt even hit anyone, just stay cool and watch just incase, use sidestep to avoid it.

Novos : First off consider him a dps race. Have your pally resists up and get ready to bubble. Without the proper dps his blizz can hurt. Try to cycle divine guardian to help manage dmg if your hp pools are large enough. Its novos's nature that you cant really tank him, so if you can duelspec your tank for dps that may help. Pop cooldowns like your army and of course Avenging.

Colossus : here you have an advantage, movement. Drag him around the area, there is alot of ground and you shouldnt have a problem staying away from it. If the water phase hurts too much the first time, stall him when he goes back into golem. Just tank him till your happy with your hp/positioning as the golem is an easy tank and spank.

Ionar : They nerfed him abit, I think he only goes "all balls" once. When he does just run away, I often run back into the last room then start running back. The explode thing just bubble :)

Maiden of Grief : Have resists up obviously, and dps her face off. she doesnt have a huge hp pool. Move out of the crap simple as that. When she stuns you use a pvp trink to get out of it, you have one I hope.

I'll stop right here as I see Ellay responded with a much smaller, smarter and cleaner post. Damn my rambleness!

What they said. :)

Assuming melee paladins:

The only things I didn't see in here should be obvious, but just in case - make sure you are using the correct auras for various fights... ie.. Novos, Grand Magus, Keristrasza, etc.. Turn on frost aura. Maiden of Grief, etc. Shadow Resistance.

I haven't tried the DS rotation for Ionor, and that's probably the best way to go. What I do for this fight is spread out my melee in a square, and tank him in the center. If you position it right, you can cast judgements, concecration, divine storm, and exorcism at just enough range to where the ball lightning won't hit everybody. Then for the disperse face, simply back up and heal through it. After that, it's a simple rinse and repeat.

For the whirlwind fights, after you've done them several times, you can almost predict exactly when the boss is going to do it. Simply break follow, and move your tank away taunting him whenever he starts to head back to your DPS. If it's getting iffy, then either do a DS/DS rotation, or just simply bubble the paladins and continue dpsing through it.

Don't make the mistake I made for Hadronox. Let all the spiders die first before you engage him. :)

how about Krystallus in halls of stone? Each of my toons did 20k damage to each other lol, that's like 100k damage to every toon instantly. I don't have a spread macro set up yet, but is there time to use it after the knockback without wiping?

For that fight, I have all my toons in a half circle around him, then pull him with the tank on the opposite side. When he does the knockback, your toons should be seperated enough to not take any damage. Then you IWT to get your guys back on him attacking. He's actually quite simple with this method.

Collossus Is whipping my ASS BADLY!!!!! and its driving me straight to the loony bin! I dont take dmg from this crap puddles But I totally bit the bullet when hes decides he wants to wave... How the crap do I deal with that trash?

So i Tried a new strat and this is what i basically did I Would wait about half way through the fight with elemental and just bubble then would dps him down once he was back in regualr mode tank and spank back to full hps then in elemental mode again wings and own him
