Hey all, normally I am able to search or investigate myself but figured first hand advice to perhaps suit me better as I theory craft too much.

How would you boost 4 locks with a pally or druid tank?

I ask because my 4 pally's were a dream as they ran in with the tank aoe'in away. Before pallys I would sit the alts back maybe 10yrds for cast spamming. With locks another choice is pets, say felguard cleaves up in front for some aoe.

I suppose with the pet option the druid's natural healing and crit from leader of the pack sounds nice. Not sure if it matters as healing should not be the issue when compared to the pallys light judge. With the pally I'll be able to buff the pets damage a bit. Either tank can res or heal.

Thnx for any responses.
I'm so busy that the weekends about all I have nowadays, so I need to stop smelling flowers when alt leveling :)

I have used a feral druid in bear form for a lot of boosting and I find them a lot of fun, swipe does a lot of damage and they also have some nice healing talents which help when health gets low. My Pally currently is a lot better geared than my druid but the druid is geared more for dps feral spec and so seems to get through mobs faster but can still take a lot of mobs at once.
just my opinion :)

druid bear has to be the best for boosting, just spam swipe

I would instance boost them.

Instance boosting is the fastest leveling method, when we receive 3x exp's for quests, 3x exp's for boosting, 3x exp's for battlegrounds etc.
When we reduce this to 1x exp's for everything, then the best to worst will be in the same order.
There won't be as much of a difference between the #1 and #2 methods, but they'll be in the same order.

Down the road, in Northrend, once you reach a point where you tank cannot solo instances.
Switch to questing.
Take your pick, leave the tank in the party and plow through things.
Or take the tank out, tag stuff with the warlocks, and then plow through things on the tank.
Any kind of grind, you might be better off with the kill exp's going to the locks.

Once the locks are 71+, consider a lot of AV breaks.
You won't have the tank with you at all (80+ is its own bracket).
But it is still experience and honor, without grinding or questing.

I would figure that four warlocks questing through Northrend will plow through anything without the need of a higher-level character to help, aside from the ring type quests.

Heck, I'll find out myself in a few weeks or months. :o
