Level 27: Warrior, 4 x Shaman

I really have enjoyed my warrior. Having played a paladin to 60 in the past I can say a warrior is more my speed.

So far I've been holding agro very nicely with my warrior. I've been taking my prot warrior tanking very seriously and have really put effort into knowing how to gain and keep agro. It's rare that a mob goes after the group even fighting 4 to 6 of them. Taunt usually brings that one back. My agro rotation is a thunder clap when possible and sundering the heck out of everyone with a demoralizing should from time to time. I have the glyph of sunder which helps. I think it helps that my dps are hitting my main target. I'm sure in multiplayer groups dps don't always hit the main target and agro can be a real issue.

I'm leveling the group almost totally via instances. Having already leveled several single players and small groups with questing I want to see ALL the instances. Only a handful of instances so far. Gnomeregan is my currrent one. Unfortunately RAF is making leveling so fast I don't get to enjoy everything. I leveled out of WC before I could see the whole thing from playing SFK too much. I only got to run DM once before LFG warp wouldn't let me do that one anymore.

As a side note, it's amazing how many players don't see multiboxers running around. The other day in Ironforge a level 80 was totally shocked seeing my group do it's formations, totems and forms. Someone else had to explain this to them. I have only had one player say I could be banned for hooking five accounts together. I just laughed out loud and it was cool. I have never experienced boxer hate to date. Usually people just envy my group more than anything else. I'm sure in PVP there's much more hate.

I'm starting my warrior/4shaman group tomorrow. I look forward to once again playing a warrior. I played one from vanilla up through about the 3rd week of Ulduar when I stopped playing. I've enjoyed playing the paladin as tanks on the two teams I have leveled so far, but I miss my warrior so much. Going to be boosting this team with my 80 warrior so that should speed getting this team up to 60 to next to nothing. I'm really looking forward to seeing the difference between using a paladin tank and a warrior tank in this group. I know the warrior will probably give me more headaches in the long run, but I think that is going to be the fun part of this team. I will have to actually try a little harder to get stuff done, and I've always liked making thins challenging when possible.

Warrior tanking is alright once you figure it out. I don't have threat issues unless it's waves of mobs like heroic Halls of Reflection for the last event, but that's just timing your thunder claps and shockwaves. Holding the aggro isn't the problem just getting all of them before they're on your other guys.
Pally/DK/Druid are all better though. :-/

I got both, a melee team out of 5 paladins (where i replaced one paladin by an enhancement shaman at endgame) and a team made out of a warrior and 4 elemental shamans.

The paladin got the strong advantage of aoe tanking without problems.. all the time. On the downside, the paladin always needs to drink, and thats really annoying. The warrior is way more durable due to that fact as well. My warrior / shaman team nearly gets no downtimes.. only if they do content which is a little bit ahead :D

I like to play both. Currently i play the warrior / shaman team because they need eqiip, while my paladin team is full t9 + badge items already + lots of garfrost hammers. The shaman/warrior team is at 3/5 T9 and mixed blues with crafted epics.
