Hi all,
I just thought I would share my story from last night doing some heroics. I was trying to get the daily to get my frost badges and got the spider places multiple times which I have not cleared yet, finally I got Strathome and thought , hum, I should be geared enough to do this and maybe even get the mount.
So off I head, clear first two bosses with ease, get to the third boss, tons of time, I am surprised at how fast I am running through the instance.
BAM, all my toons are doing a huge laggy cast, nothing, nothing, nothing. Next I get the wow disconnect screen........
Takes me about 3 -4 minutes to finally get connected again, all my toons dead on the floor.
It was time to go to bed lol, I am smiling now but I could not believe the luck, the run had been going so well for a first time MB run (had healed a few times on my druid last year and he has the mount for the timed run).

So now I think tonight I am gonna return and kick it's ass lol, hopefully no disconnects :D

The Lag~Beast and Disconnect~Beast are most fearsome adversaries.

Some day, we should take all of our toons on the site, and embark on an epic journey to slay these vile creatures once and for all.

I get a complete disconnect every night somewhere between 8pm and 10pm.
when I say complete disconnect, I mean all clients disconnect and Ventrillo also disconnects at the same time.

All the clients are running on different computers(X6) , it is like the ISP is tearing down all my connections and rerouting my data streams. The disconnects all ways last about 15 to 30 seconds .

The frustion comes because the disconnect always seams to line up with my frost badge run about the time I am ready to clear the last boss. When I relog every one back in they are out of group in the instance, but as soon as I regroup they all get booted from the instance to a grave yard. Then I hae to wait for timer and start a new instance run.

Anybody know of a way to regroup and not get booted from the instance ?

Here the main providers tend to do that since they don't want you to setup a webserver at home.

Well my disconnects the last couple of nights have happened at around 9 - 10pm PST ( I am in San Francisco East Bay)
I am blaming the rain for the last few days causing some connectivity issue somewhere.

it seems there is more lag than normal since Tuesday.

Maybe it's that resilience hotfix :D

Have the same person do the invites? I have an invite/accept macro I use to just log out inside instances before we had the port to instance thing. When you do that you have 1 min to get everyone into the group.

I think that once people are out of the group you do not get the daily badges when you re-invite?

What is your Disconnect resilience rating? It needs to be at least 145 to not disconnect during Heroics.

My OLD ISP ran line tests Sunday mornings at 10am.

It started with latency in the 2-3k range, followed by up to 10 minutes of downtime, then back to business as usual. I had two solutions: don't play when I knew the disconects were garanteed, or switch ISPs. I choose the later.

I use a macro to do the invites so it is always the same leader. If you use the dungeon finder you can't regroup in the dungeon. You can stand in instance as long as you want as long as you don't group up. I suspect the servers assigns a group id and when the entire group is gone the group id is lost. When you regroup you get a different id and it does not match the instance and out you go.
