I was just reading up on the druid daily and thinking about how far I might actually go in wow with my multiboxing team. I'm talking about the PVE content here and gear, since it's pretty obvious in PvP (just look at rankings).
I'm personally slowly crawling towards the end content, but I couldn't help to think: "What the point?" since the best equipment is raid content (or am I wrong?) which I would need:
a: A guild to get access to since I would need insanly weel geared people.
b: Play the game as a "job" - regular login times, participating in raids etc.
Personally I will never be able to do the stuff above because I don't have the time to spend hours and hours and hours playing wow.
Are we able to get "good" gear by just running the 5-man instances?

Base T9 from badges = best gear non-raid multiboxers have ever had access to. Enjoy.

Getting end game pve gear has completely nothing to do with Multiboxing other than they are both play World of Warcraft. If that's not clear and the goal, yeah I would rethink "What's the point" before the next debit day.
It's upsetting to some people based on the time, effort and money they put into their multi-box toons. But if people are upset about not getting multiple end game characters, likely they will be upset with single boxing and not having a end game character as well, for those people are upset about the time, effort and money the same.
The t9 is basically ilevel60 (devout/valor/dreadmist/etc) nowadays. Minus the whole ubrs/strat raid experience. Those items were never end game, but they were the highest items (though mixed items were much better itemized) people could obtain multi-boxing .

I guess it all comes down to what I wanna do ingame.
For now my goal is to get to lvl 80 with my first toon and team. I have never been at lvl 80 even though I have played for 1 1/2 (okey had a break from the game of 4 month) year now *Bluss*
Anyway,
Kinda just looking forward to go through some more instances. At some point I might do some pvp for the expirence, since I had a blast with a mage a couple of times in the low lvls doing AV or whatever the pvp grounds are called.
I would love to get better gear for my guys and even do some heroics at some point. We will see what happens.

I hit 80 on my latest team just before Christmas, and in the three weeks since I've run a lot of heroics... And in checking for how many, I found the armory has a nifty new feature...

It's even available as an RSS!
Anyhow, the end result is 4 new characters straight from level 80 to ready for ICC25 in 3 weeks...

Go as far as you want to go. If you have no desire to do end game, then don't. If you do, then you can get geared up fairly well with just badge gear (full T9, and a few other nice pieces) and slowly you can get T10 (daily heroics, weekly raids) You can pug ToC for some decent gear as well. On my server they are even pugging ICC 25. They are even doing ICC25 as a GDKP run, so you could literally just ding 80 on an alt, and bring 50k gold into a raid and buy your way to a 5k GS...

Boxing is also extremely lucrative.
And every class has a fair number of high-end BoE drops on the AH.
If you have a team doing dailies.
And one toon you want to raid with.
Heroics will get the entire team badges.
Start with the ones you can do easily.
And expand as you gear up.
And run your dailies, faithfully.
Using gold from that, to gear a specific toon much faster then a lot of raiders can.
Not to mention, you can raid with that toon too.

just as all of the OP's have said play how you want, as long as your having fun then it doesn't really matter.
Gear is not all that it is cracked up to be, as here in just a few months everyone will be right back where they all started as noobs, and as of right now end game gear is a hell of a lot easier to get than it has been in the past..
The coming changes in cata will also make it easier to get than it is now, so do not worry about will I be able to "Gear my toons out" play and have fun with your team/s and the gear will come. Skill will always and forever be > Gear.

How is the end game gear going to be easier exactly? It seems that the ilevel of gear will be dramatically skewed into heroic / hardmode content and away from lower tier bosses and badges (points). The general earning potential of a character in badges (points) is greatly lowered in comparison to wotlk.
