Most fun Ive had in a while.

So my pallies are level 68 now and Ive finally hit northrend (not sure if I should grind to 70 or just start questing now They have full Heirloom items) Anyway All day yesterday I was doing Quests and AV.

I honestly cannot tell you the last time I had this much fun in Wow or AV. I literally felt like a wrecking ball I would go to a group of horde Cons and DS and EVERYONE would scatter. I Wrecked Graveyards and really managed my repents very well (once I got Round robin set up) Still working on a better way to manage Lay on Hands so if you have an idea leave a message =)

Anyway just wanted to leave a post about my new team. Im loving them and I cant wait to roll my DK into the mix =)

I already had one DK and one Pala at 80 and rolled 3 more paladins. I haven't played them (only boosted) till 68. And melee boxing is incredibly fun. I'm running the DK as tank atm but thinking on using the Paladin instead so I can have the melee haste with the DK dpsing and both imp devotion and blessing of sanctuary with the Protec Paladin.

Only in questing gear, my level 70 Paladins did around 1.7k dps in Nexus, which is amazing... Been long since I had so much fun pveing. Can't wait to get them to 80 for arenas and more "serious" pve.

yah, it truly is ezmode. not much skill required for this group. i think the hate this comp will generate will cause a nerf in the near future. as soon as the fotm majority start BG'ing at least.

Question, how are you queueing for AV while questing in Northrend? Are you hearthing to a city then flying back to continue questing after a queue? Or is there a smoother way to do this?

Press H on your leader, go to the battleground tab of your PvP window and hit queue as group? Where ever you are is where you return when the match ends. NO need to be anywhere near a city

Press H to open up your Honor Tab (the one that shows your honor points and arena teams)
Click on the second tab in this window.

You can queue for BG's from anywhere in the world... and after the BG you pop out from the exact point you left.
Quest, Queue, Continue questing till queue is up, Join BG, FACEROLL to Victory, Continue questing and requeue.

The same could have been said of shaman, and yet blizzard has proven time and time again that they don't try to balance classes based on the tiny minority of folks that are multiboxing.

I doubt they'll make any changes to IWT. I think the power of the paladin team (or paladin + dk), is the ability to heal viably while being DPS specced.

With the intended changes to healing and healthpools in Cataclysm, I think (sadly) that teams like this, depending on doing healing while being DPS specced, will be less useful with the arrival of the expansion. So even if devs think it should be changed, it's unlikely they will, since the "problem" will probably solve itself in Cata.

Absolutely, plate no longer having a +10-15k health advantage on avg over cloth//leather/mail wearers will be nice for a change. Although I will enjoy it for the time being. ;p

I just got my pallies to 80 2 days ago (had 80 dk and pally tank already so 3 new toons). It's fun for sure, but damn these guys get mowed in pvp lol. There's a lot of new 80 pain with 3 toons only haveing 14k health and zero resil. I'm gonna have to go farm some pve gear so i can pvp lol!
i did do my 10 arena matches but being in greens and blues i went 0-10. it was kinda late and 70% of the teams were 1650+ rating compared to my 1100 and had 251+ weaps from icc10 and 1800+ 2v2 arena teams.

Gear is going to be exponentially better I think with this team. Better gear= more crits and more instant FoL that hit for much harder + more healing from higher divine storm shots and less damage due to resil.
time to farm Garfrost! (many pants, still clean, save boss... great shame...)

Edit** man fear bombs are nasty, it's AMAZING how far a toon can run in 10 seconds if your trinket is down... or you don't have one yet lol! I'm thinking of doing a round robin on trinket and basiclly have 2 pallies trinket and cleans the rest of the team. how do you guys handle those nasty bg fear bombs?

Not to be Debbie Downer, but wait until you go into the next bracket....yeah....not so much fun. AV for me from 71-77 was mainly running straight to the GY near Drek, and capping the towers. However, it isn't until about 77 that are you are really even useful at doing that. Even at 79 I had much trouble tanking Drek without a decent healer, his WW's will also destroy your Rets, and they cannot heal fast enough.

Usually on fear bombs I use my human racial, or bubble, whichever is up first. But most of the time your alts will wind up being feared into some ridiculous place that not even Interact With Target will find it's way out of.

While I agree that once I move into the 71-80 Bracket its going to be a nightmare.. Im not doing AV so I can feel uber powerful or useful I mean I know i stand zero chance when it comes to a level 80 with ICC gear or even T9 But its all in good time before I still start laying down the pain train. Just using AV to get some much needed free xp.

That bracket stops at lvl 79. 80s have their own AV now.

I have 4 pallies and 1 shammy, and with tremor totem down, I get feared every time. They know my weakness and use it against me. Another thing that ruins me is AOE silence. Guess what, I am Alliance and every person I hate is blood elf. Tauren elemental shammy with a BE rogue, come up. AOE stun, beat on me a little, AOE silence, beat on me a little with AOE poison apply, then thunderstorm to seperate me out. 2 people can stop 5 people from healing for a VERY long time.

I still love them though. I am a defensive person, so I guard lots of stuff. People want to come up and solo me, and I love it. Please, please come in melee range. Yeah, bladestorm hurts, but if you survive (4 BOP and 1 riptide with earthshield) you can pretty much take them down. My other nemesis is a druid healer. I can't range him, he can outrun me, and he can outheal my DPS since all he has to do is move 2 yards every so often, along with instant heals. Sure I can purge them, but guess what, lifebloom still goes off and he knows it. Yeah, I judge justice on him, just doesn't seem to make me happy, just makes me cause a turtle not a win.

The 71-79 bracket sucked even at 79. I think in 61-70 rets were so OP that it really worked. Other classes caught up a bit by then. Next time the team will be OP is full geared at 80 :)
