or just selling Primordial Saronite for 2,000g ?

I am more pvp geared, saving 90 tokens to upgrade the head piece (my non pvp set item) does not seem worth the wait.

Selling. I don't see anything particularly worth saving for. Not that the upgrades aren't nice, but 16000g is more important to me right now than 1 piece of gear that'll be only marginally better than my pvp stuff.

I saved up 60 frost and ended up just getting primodials and selling them. I'm not in a raiding guild so i am not maxing out my dps to the limit so the triumph badges do just fine for gear.

So for those of you selling saronite, is it simply a case that you are leveling multiple teams and no intent to max out a single team? For my I would hope over the next month or so I would get 2 pieces of frost emblem gear which would push me over the edge for my main team in gear score to 5k or above.
Is gold simply not easier to get than the 2 per day frost badges?

you can get gold if you want to spend time doing dailies, playing the ah, etc. but for me, i like doing the daily dung and then going to pvp. not a lot of gold when you pvp so selling saronite is a good source of income.

If you're raiding with your chars when not boxing, it would be worth gearing them up with the frost emblem pieces. If you're not raiding and only doing heroics/pvp, then what difference does it make if you clear Gundrak in 19 minutes vs 21 minutes?

Saronite prices will do nothing but drop as people craft all the pieces they want and people buy all the frost emblem pieces and start selling saronite. Better to make a ton of cash now, imo.

This thread got me thinking, shit, maybe being able to afford artisan flight on my alts is more important than buying gear to use in the heroics that I'm already stomping. I've been stacking frost badges for the chest upgrades, but I think I might get two more for 46 on each toon, buy 10 saronite and drop a piece or two on the AH when it's selling particularly well.

maybe use the gold to subsidize doing engineering on all 4 of them to get the hand rocket.

I am actually making gold atm, hoping to be able to craft me some sweet gear. I would never turn emblems into gold if i can still get an upgrade with it.

Gold is far more easier to obtain then frost emblems atm.

Saronite is currently selling above what it will be in the next 6 months. I have 2 teams that do their daily every day, and I have already bought 4 queldelars for my melee team. This is for the long-run a lot better than getting gear now, which will be replaced by gear later and then not having a market to make any gold later.

If you raid, you can get gear from raids, and more importantly frost badges from raids and have no reason to buy the gear from badges, if you raid, get gear from raiding and you dont have to rely on frost badges for your gear at all. You're frost daily badges are put to better use selling saronite while the market is hot imo.

So I looked at my emblems last night and I think the non main team toons I will spend their emblems on Primordial Saronite but for the main team I really think I can fill in either a cloak or possibly a trinket from the emblems of frost.
I do not raid but I have found that the more firepower I can bring to bear on the newer bosses makes things a lot easier and so the emblems I think would be better spent filling in some gear holes.
An example of firepower for me last night was downing Garfrost on heroic, my hunter is about 1k dps behind my locks and mage and I could not get Garfrost down due to each phase just lasting so much longer and so much more time for things to go bad. I dropped out the hunter and dropped in the mage and bam burned him down so much easier.
So for newer bosses nuking faster really did help

Until there are new dungeons to conquer there is no real reason to use frost on gear unless you just want to be able to show off some badass gear. I'm selling saronite until the price just isn't worth it. Gold never goes out of style and who knows what we'll be needing to buy in Cataclysm.

Same here. Just selling the saronite for gold to save for later use. I don't raid anymore so heroics are all there is for me and even with the triumph gear heroics are a joke.
Currently sitting on 47k as I continue to just farm gold. I've spent a ton on leveling professions for my alts.

The new dungeons are providing enough challenge but not enough for me to want to gear out in frost emblem gear to make them simpler. At this point i am more looking towards Cataclysm then anything they can put out for the remainder of lich king.

Stop confusing me lol , 2k for 23 emblems of frost which takes 11 days to get, vs 1 hour of dailys which nets 1k a day on a 5 man team, granted selling Saronite is very little time spent in AH.

For me I raid 4 nights a week, so I don't have much more time than to do the daily dungeon then I am off to raiding. I do the full dailies on my off nights.

Depending on your server the cost can differ. Selling on the AH on my server for 2600-2900, I usually sell mine thru trade for 2500 a piece or all 5 for 11.5k. Since I am already doing the randoms anyway its just a nice bonus. I still do my dailies occasionally for seals to buy pets and sell them also and for slow rep building.

So I got the belts, because they were a huge upgrade over my Nax25 belts. Since then, I have sold 3 Primordial Saronite per toon. A little extra gold buffer is nice, especially if I can't replace my toc5 dagger reasonably soon. if the price of hilts drops a little more, I will be picking some of them off the AH; essentially buying Hilts with Frost badges.

IDK how soon I will begin investing in T10, perhaps once I drop out of the top 5 DPS done in ICC25...

Yeah, don't ignore the belt for 60 Frost emblems. Every sim I ran in Rawr showed that belt to be BiS, period. So I took the plunge and purchased the belts for my 3 shamans.

I got gloves first since it was a bigger upgrade, but both slots are good. It's a shame that there's no caster dps cloak.
