So I was looking at the resto druid macro listed here and I am wondering what the "target=focustargettarget, help] " means, mainly the "help" part? WIll this macros only work when in combat? I tried them as written and they get stuck once I try to cast any of the statements with "help" in them? Once I take out the " [target=focustargettarget, help] " they work fine in a non-instance setting. Below are the macros I am referring to:

/castsequence [target=focustargettarget,help] reset=combat/6 Wild Growth,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
/cast Barkskin
Quote:
/castsequence [target=focustargettarget,help] reset=combat/target/6 Rejuvenation,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Quote:
/castsequence [target=focustargettarget,help] reset=combat/target Lifebloom,Lifebloom,Lifebloom,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Quote:
/cast [target=focustargettarget,help] Nourish

I just get an error when I enter "[target=focustargettarget, help] " without the quotes into the site you linked tool. (I am at work using IE6 and so it may be simply a browser issue)
What I get from this part of the macro is that the target of the spell is the target of the attacker, but not 100% sure about what the "help" part means?

This is using /focus as a leader setup. The assumption is that your leader is targeting a mob, and when you invoke the macro, if that mob has a friendly (help) target, it'll cast the spell.

The reason it's getting stuck out of combat is likely the targets target doesn't exists. If you want to test it out of combat, /focus to your leader, then target one of your other toons, and have that toon target someone friendly.

ie.
A targets B
B targets C

Assuming your resto druid is toon D, you would do a /focus A, then your macro should heal target C.

[Help] means helpful character, like a player or NPC. /cast [target=target, help] Heal( ) would only cast heal if your target was a helpful player / NPC. If you have no target or a enemy target, this macro would do nothing.

you mentioned being in combat, that would look like this:
[Combat] mean you are currently in combat. /cast [target=target, combat] Spell ( ) would only cast the spell if you're in combat. If you aren't in combat, this macro will do nothing.

Awesome, I will try this out tonight. I am not too sure how spamming heals like this will work coming from Vuhdo and clicking for heals with ISBoxer regions but it seems like in fights where I am moving it would help for rolling hots.
We will see :) , hopefully it does not become a mana beast lol

Why would you go from VuhDo and ISBoxer region healing to macros?

The only reason I can think of, is to heal someone who is not given a Vuhdo Frame.

For example, you are running around with your 5-box team, killing crap or whatever.
And you'd like to have your healer heal some random person who is low.
Unfortunately, not being in your party or raid precludes them from having a frame within your repeater region.

Cannot really see a good reason for macros to heal your own team.

I only wanted to try these macros to see how they worked compared to Vuhdo. I was thinking it might work better macroed but so far I cannot get it to work for some reason.

Is there some way to make Grid (or VuhDu) show your Target and your Target's Target along with your party (in the same general area as your party, using the same Square type of icon).

Because then you could expand your ISBoxer region to include clicking this Target's Target box without too much fuss. Might be a useful way to buff/heal random people easily.
