View Full Version : Camera auto follow

Sometimes, after I mash follow and IWT on my main toons, my Camera gets screwed up. It will try auto follow and auto turn to like 45 degree from the back of my character (without this problem it should be straight looking at the back of my character). It won't be fixed with zone in and out, turn with mouse. It will always try to turn to that angle.
The only way for me to fix it is to do /follow on certain character. Then the Camera is back to normal.
I wonder if anybody else has seen this. and know how to prevent this from happening.

I'd love a solution as well.
If this happens to your main, you can /reloadui real quick and it'll reset.

I just click on the ground in front of my char and it will straighten the camera out

But if you use the WASD keys to turn him, he will turn and the camera will not track in the new direction he is facing.... Right?

It happens without IWT also, I've noticed it since vanilla wow. Try customer service forums and see if you get a response... last time I tried the rep said he didn't know

interface: camera
>never adjust camera<
interface: mouse
>never adjust camera<
Make sure these are BOTH set this way, you log off and log back in, and the problem should go away. If it doesn't check all of your keybinds.

I know I've had the Interface--Camera-- "Never adjust..." option checked. I'll try the mouse one as well.

I get that all constantly as well with both the interfaces options turned off as well. What I found is that a quick tap of either home or delete (i think those are the pitch keys) will fix it.

If that solves the problem, Fat Tire, I may just have to down a six pack of your namesake in your honor!

What seems to work the best for me these days is using a camera view reset option. You can define views however you like, but the default view #5 works great for me. I use:
/script SetView(5)
To reset any goofy camera/movement behavior.
