I use isboxer, using the set up wizard, so i assume that i am using a FTL set up.
My question is: When i set up my macro on the slaves should they have the /assist focus at the begining? As of now i do not have this but i find that my warlock has way lower dps than he should at that level. On a level 70 target dummy i can hit around 1400 but in an instance where the target keeps switching i notice my warlock just sit there while my ele shammies keep pounding away?
Any thoughts

If you are using IS Boxer, don't bother with Focus at all.
Unless you are tracking something with Focus, such as your arena burst target or something you are crowd controlling.
If you were to drag Lightning Bolt, straight from the wow spell book (no macros) for each toon.
And place them all on "1".
When you press "1", with any toon, the others will also press "1".
But they'll auto assist the active toon first.
So without any macros or focus, you have FTL -- all the slaves cast at the same target as the master.
As for Warlock DPS.
It will depend on what the macro is for their attacks.
I'd probably use a "click" for them.
Something like: Immolate - Conflagrate - Chaos Bolt - Incinerate.
Or for Affliction: Curse of the Elements, Haunt, Corruption, Unstable Affliction, Shadow Bolt (not repeating the curse).

I am using the click macro from the sticky for dest. It seems to hang a lot so i 1 need to work out my commas a bit better. Seems i hang on Chaos bolt til it is off CD than when immol kills a target and a new target is acquired it hangs on conflag

I'd think you need to add more commas then; you don't want the click attempting to call a spell which is still on cooldown. Ideally, you want Incinerate (the fall through) to be casting while your timed spells are on cooldown.
The only other thing I could think of, to cause it to hang (if you have enough commas) is your reset conditions. Conflagrate and Chaos Bolt are on hard reset cooldowns, so even if you switch targets the spells will not be available until the full time since last cast has occurred. It is ok for Immolate to be reset=target, but Conflagrate and Chaos bolt need to be reset=combat, otherwise a target switch would reset their sequences, with the spell possibly still on cooldown.
