Hi guys, first poster. But I need urgent help!

Bought ISboxer last night, and spent about 6 hours thing morning trying to get it to work with 2 toons on one PC. I've finally got my slave to follow the master, but it won't attack.

If I press one for Wrath, the master attacks as it should, but the slaves screen fills with 'Invalid Target'. Heal and Shadowmeld work fine, yet attacking spells don't.

If anyone could help I'd be most grateful, the time I've spent fooling around with this I could have been a higher level than I am now =/

Here's my config:

I dont use ISboxer so I can't say for sure but what type of attack macro are you using? How are you setting up your assists?

PS: Just in case you didn't, you may want to check your code again and edit out certain parts of it. There may be some information in there that the public shouldn't see.

The slave is getting it's target by /assist focus macro.

Getting the target is no problem, it's just apparently invalid. If however, I switch to that toon and use the MOUSE on the button, it works, except then the master doesn't attack.

This leads me to beleive it's a keybinding issue somewhere, and an annoying one at that.

Do you have your macros configured correctly? I don't use ISBoxer, but this is how I use AutoHotKey:

F1 = /set focus party1

1 = (on main window) /use [harm] spell
broadcast to other windows:
ctrl+alt+shift+1 = /target focustarget; /use [harm] spell

Since AutoHotKey supports remapping, when I press "1" on my main window, it sends "ctrl+alt+shift+1" to the alt windows. Note that the "main window" isn't a main character, so this is dynamic in that I can have any window at any time be the "main" window - very useful if the leader of the party dies.

The problem might be IS Boxer has an auto FTL, if you run the wizard.
And you are using a focus based approach.
So they might be in conflict.

If you run the wizard, and let is assign FTL modifiers to your toons.
You won't need to use focus for assisting, attacks, follow etc.
It will be done for you, automatically.

I'd really look at the auto FTL option.
Press 1, on the active toon, and every slave will also press 1, but first auto assist (no macros in wow at all) the current active toon.
Press your follow hotkey, which is an IS Boxer hotkey, not a wow macro. Slaves will auto follow the current toon.
You can also configure auto follow of the new leader, on a leader switch.
Jamba for movement can be integrated into IS Boxer.

The IRC is the best place for immediate answers.
There are people there 24/7, most are idling but there is usually an answer fairly fast.
Much faster then posting here, although this works too.

Thanks for replies.

I'm using the Jamba addon, could that be causing conflicts then?

I'll give it another try with the wizard in a min, see how I get on with that :D

Wierd thing with the Wizard is, the slave doesn't follow the master but works vice versa. I'll keep pushing things until it works

EDIT:. After 10 hours of messing about I just ran the wizard again. The only thing I changed was the order of toons, and it works perfect. :P

i looked at your config, and it is setup pretty weird.

like ualaa stated, there is a built in FTL in isboxer you can use. I would just use the wizard and then get an idea from that on how isboxer works.

I usually use isboxer macro system instead of having all these macros on my addon bar ingame(unless it is for /click macros).

perhaps you are targeting your main character and that is why you are getting "invalid target" error??. and follow sounds like there is a mapped key problem somewhere. or you are using the same FTL modifier or you have keymaps turned off.

TBH I don't really know what I do, which is probably why I had the problems.

Now it's working I'll be able to get a feel for how it works, and reduce problems in the future :D

Thanks.

I just started getting this as well on keyclone. Out of no where too, after a couple hours my slaves kept getting invalid target when trying to attack a mob even though it was selected. If I jumped over to a slave, it would let me cast again however. really weird.

If this is still an issue, Schnoob, load the ISBoxer configuration, clear all your settings and run the Quick Setup Wizard, selecting WoW as the game from all 3 pull-down boxes. Select your team members in the order you wish them to login, being sure to select your Main as the first char. On the screen where it asks about Keymaps and Jamba, select only the FTL DPS keys check-box.

In WoW, on each char remove any macros you created. Simply place the spell you wish to have casted on your hotbar - no macro.

Once all are logged in, press SHIFT-ALT-I (That's an i) to invite your team. If you wish for them to follow strobe, press SHIFT-ALT-CTRL-F12. If you want them to stop follow strobing, press SHIFT-ALT-CTRL-F11.

Start with this. If you want to move to a focus based approach, see classic hotkeying guides on how to do this. In ISBoxer, delete all the FTL DPS Keymaps and turn on Repeater, use Whitelist, select the keys you wish to be broadcasted.

Hope this helps.
