View Full Version : [ISBoxer] assisting seems to have broken in my ISBOXER setup (FIXED...kinda)

I setup my ISBOXER following Zanthors guide at http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=20643.
My assist button is set to Q and my dps macro is set to 3.
When setting it up on isboxer, I had the action to first do the "assist" mapped key, sending this to only the slaves, then sending 3 to all windows.
So when I targetted something on my main and pressed three....all characters would start dpsing on the same mob.
This worked fine...however today I went to add in another mapped key...I got a popup advising that there was a new version, so I downloaded it. Now when I target a mob and press 3, only the main will DPS. If I target a mob and press Q, the slaves will target that one. But if I then target another mob and press 3....instead of all characters changing target to the new mob and dpsing....the slaves don't change target, the main fires off a spell then changes back to the old target.
I changed nothing with my DPS key....nor did I change anything with the assist. I've tried recreating them, but with no change.
I even opened a chat textbox to see what was happening...when I press 3, the results are bellow
Toon1 (master) - 3Q
Toon2 - 3
Toon3 - 3Q
Toon4 - 3Q
Toon5 - 3Q
I can't think why toon2 doesn't have the Q.....but the Q should also be before the 3. I just don't get it.
If more info is needed please let me know what.
you might want to put [ISBoxer] in the title

Fair enough, I've updated it to avoid confusion

I'm back in business....kinda. I done a wee bit more jiggery pockery till the point where it was sending "Q£" to the slaves. I had to the unbind the keys that changed the toolbars "shift+1", "shift+2" etc....and it's working again.
Dunno what happened, cause I hadn't changed any of that before.

hmm I'm having a similar issue with slaves and main targeting - they seem to go to the last mob i killed rather than current, which kinda makes the game unplayable.
I'll try resetting all configs and let you know how I get on

Yeah, that's exactly what's happening with me. I've just been battering my button that's set for assist :)

Have not experienced this.
My DPS is pretty much the basic buttons from the wizard.
Maybe a few are modified a little, but the basic configuration is the same.
Hotkey = 1.
Single Step.
a) FTL Assist Me (Target Current Window).
b) Output 1, to all windows.
Are your dps keys quite different from that?

The most recent version of ISBoxer fixed a bug that caused targeted keymaps to not work as expected, this bug fix I had apparently worked around in my Assist Macro... I had to check the "target" of my assist keys and once I fixed that, all was gravy.

I've got it set as default with targeting helper set as assist Hot character. Is this correct?

I had the same problem, seems the update changed the target of some of my key maps. After I changed them back everything was good.

ok simple solution - Action "Do FTL assist me in General key map" should be set to Window:Current, not Window:All w/o otherwise it's trying to assist your assist's assist's assists... or something.
I was starting to get worried....but all fixed.

.
Mine is set up as you said "Window:Current", and I'm still having issues where the slaves are not always assisting automatically. Some of them do, some are 'stuck' on previous target. For now I can get around it with another quick key map.

I'm still kinda having problems with this. It sometimes takes a few attempts to get the slaves to target the same as the main when using the 2 step DPS action. I've done as stated above with window current etc, but targeting still seems somewhat random at times.

i actually created a new IWT keybind to only look at action target group "melee". Then the DPS button 1st step also to "melee" and that worked. So in effect I now have 2 IWT keybind, one for melee and one for all.
hope this helps.
Oh and unbind anything else that has your DPS button (i.e. shift 1). that's seems to be the cause of most of my minor issues.
edit: one more thing, make sure keymaps are on when you're playing hehe
