I'm having a ton of fun with my 5 priests:

The team:

(that's after nagrand quests, pretty recent)

Ramparts at 60x3, 61x2

Omor gave me a bit of trouble and I had to come back at 61 and a bit better gear to finish him:

Blood furnace (yes it was close on that last boss ;-) )

First slave pen boss took me a few tries until I realized I needed to kite him away from his totems instead of trying to down his totems:

Last boss of slave pen I couldn't do at 63, I had to come back at 65:

That is the great thing about boxing. How often do you see a PUG of 5 priest. Love it.

Wow, I wouldn't have thought it possible, cloth gets hit pretty hard.

Well done Moorea, yeah you think that the clothies be getting owned in there, but proved wrong again.

Ebola used to run a 5-man shadow priest gang on Magtheridon. Mind blast x5 was a one-shot on most anyone back before resilience. And enjoy your dungeon runs now while you still survive. When you hit 70ish, go try Shattered Halls or Mechanar/Arcatraz. There are bosses and 5-pulls in there that absolutely mutilate squishies. Which is pretty much why I stopped playing mine. :P

And let us know how far you get at-level. It's possible that the new talents or a particular build is viable for the normal mode stuff at level.

I'm specc'ed holy/disc combo for better shield and bonus dmg and lower mana cost on holy nova; on trash in UB I was doing 1.5k dps with each level 64 priest just spamming holy nova; which is higher than some of my level 80 guys (but obviously a gimmick of the aoe) - this is what keeps my guys alive when hit by tons of melee, pain suppression also helps (for AV too) - boss fights are a bit harder as you can see from the screen shots :-)

My girls are 69 now so I can try some of those dungeons soon (though I don't have the key for shattered halls... I guess I can do the quest line maybe or find a rogue or someone to open)

What about managing aggro a bit? I was thinking using different levels of spells to bounce aggro around on bosses. Say use a rank3 on one priest then use rank 4 on another, etc. Might help a little bit for NR instances?

I was thinking of round robin'ing fade to bounce aggro around or using the talent to reduce aggro on the 4 but it turns out just engaging with the main first and putting 5 renew on it is enough/easier to manage - I also don't mind killing my main if I pull too many as long as the others can finish - repairs on cloth are cheap

yah the quest isn't hard for the key, you may need your warrior to tank the fel reaver.

I farmed the mats for the key yesterday, I'll try without tank first :-) [my warrior is left behind at 62 or so; if I can't beat down the fel reaver with the 5 priests, I'll use my 80 pally]

Looks like much fun. Did that with 5 hunters, also was very funny. I got no 5 priest team, but think about it

Look ma - no tank ! at 69 !
Only the last boss of Shattered Halls seems to own me, but more because my dps and tactic sucks than because I don't have a tank - I'll try him again at 70 - any suggestion for strat welcome

Have you considered stacking armor?

Priests with talented and glyphed Inner fire + cloak enchant, glove reinforcements and Glyph of Indomitability trinket get 10k+ armor.
My priest is sitting on 40.25% dmg reduction and 10282 armor. This is without gimping your caster-stats too much, if you got this on all your priests then they should become less squishy :)

Interesting. I figured the packs before Omrogg would be one of the most difficult spots for you. Pretty cool. :)

As for the last guy, if you're facing him on his little platform and the far exit is the 12 o'clock position, I usually ran my shams over into the 10 o'clock corner (far left) and faced them all back toward where you came in. You'll get adds (some rogues, some hunters) at that entrance as the fight progresses. I'd just save PoH heals for the whirlwind thing. I never bothered moving as that wasted time I could be healing and I usually needed it. I'd probably save bubble for that, too. He does blade dance every 30 seconds, which is about what the cooldown for bubble is IIRC.

GL and keep us posted. ;)

thanks ugh - the packs of legionnaires and the 7 pulls are actually easiest as I just mow them down, the more the merrier :-)

Pycno: I do have talented inner fire and doing pretty well - with 5 renew, prayer of mending, shield and 5 holy nova; it takes a lot of burst damage to kill my lead (usually he only dies if I'm lasy and forgot one of the above - in which case the other 4 can usually finish the mobs before they kill one more) - but maybe I'll stack armor on my lead anyway - for boss fights the problem is I can't use holy nova x5 as I run OOM if I do (longer fights)

I worked on my pallies (now 66 - just did Durn the hungerer at level with them and that went very easy - they also have almost no downtime - unlike my priests) so I didn't go back to Shattered Halls to finish it yet - I want to try mass dispel in AV too (with the priest team) - and when the pally get to 70 I may switch one toon in each team (1 priest with the pallies and 1 pally with the priests) to be able to use the dungeon finders on the priest team more easily - also maybe 1 pally could help with mana on the priests - that or keep them within about 2 levels of eachothers and swap after entering the instance like I did for the first 3 bc ones

Hmm pain suppresion... does it give people a debuff when used? That on round robin should make it so one cloth is essentially plate in good gear (well minus avoidance stats).

There is no debuff for having Pain Suppression.

this is awesome you can do these instance with 5 priests. my main instance team is 4 pallies i'm runnin now and i have virtually no downtime at all. still in the process of leveling my warrior/3xpriest team now, so I might try this out once they reach even with my main priest i'm using with my 3xhunters. instances with them are a cakewalk also, most of them anyway.

I see you getting a satchel of goods for doing random dungeons at level at lower levels there, what's in it?

I see you getting a satchel of goods for doing random dungeons at level at lower levels there, what's in it?

In low level instances (like RFC, VC, Stockades, SM, Strat, Scholo, etc...) you get 1 blue of the right level; typically a glove or neck ; sometimes boots or shoulder if I recall - the glove tend to be the right one because it's geared toward the type (cloth,...plate...) but the neck is just random and I keep getting caster stuff on my pallies or tanking ones on my priests

In BC instances there is a bug and you still get gear of about the same ilevel as the Scholo/Strat stuff which is basically crap compared to outland green quest rewards... they should fix that some day... but it's still a couple extra gold once vendored (or DEed) so it's always good

Went back and finished shattered halls :

That time I had the chance to get all 5 of my priests in the same group so I decided to wipe the horde at belinda, which I did - 5 times in a row - they never got her :-)

In a few AVs today there was a 4 or 5 shammy horde that was fun to kill too :-)
