Hey all... I have an older WOW account that I recently re-activated with a now-71 Death Knight and a 70 hunter. I used refer-a-friend to invite a brand-new account that I wanted to boost/power-level toons on for my mother, only to discover that it would not grant triple XP as the mobs were trivial in the instances (grey) to my Death Knight.

So, my question is, with the account linkage like this, with "A" being my main account with the booster, "B" being the account I already referred, and "C" being another new account... would "B" and "C" get triple XP when being boosted by "A", and could I then grant levels in a cascade down to my "A" account for extra toons?

A refers B.
B refers C.
A boosts B & C, all are grouped together.

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: A search brought up mixed results as to whether it works with the booster/high-level toon account being linked even when using 3 accounts. Anyone know for sure?

Short answer, yes.

Longer answer below.

Each account linking, needs to fulfill a few conditions for both to get the RAF bonus.
When A -- B are linked, they need:
1) To be within a +/- 4 level spread of each other;
2) To both be level 59 or lower;
3) To have the mobs not be grey to either account;
4) To be within a certain range of each other;
5) To be within a certain range of the mob as it dies.

In your case, you have:
A -- B -- C
And "A" is the booster, so the A -- B link will not work for B getting the bonus.
However the B -- C link is just fine, so B and C will both get RAF.

And if you were to create a lowbie on A.
Then the A -- B link would probably be fine too, which would have all the toons getting RAF.

Even with A as the booster always, and never getting RAF.
Because you linked from A, B will grant some levels to A as well.

Thanks, that's exactly the kind of info I needed :).
