Ventrilo server

Hello everyone.

I was just thinking of buying a ventrilo to have it only for multiboxers.
Alot of room , you can sit and talk and ask questions , tips or other things.

So i was wundering if that is anyone that want a server like that ? beacuse i could buy a server for this wunderful website =)

While that would be nice and fun and all, I'm sure most people here sit on the vent of their respective guilds if any.

I like the idea also. Most use there guild vent, but it would be nice to be able to load up vent, and talk to some of you guys.

I wonder how active it would be, since you would only use it for just chatting, most wow vent's have an second functionallity aswell.

I agree Littleburst. One thing that he / The admins here might want to do, is maybe have a set day, where we use Vent to help others discuss what Multiboxing is all about. If we could get all the main programmers on, to answer questions, maybe get a few of the sites to announce it.

Get more people involved as it where. Kind of like back when we where in school, and had a career day.

Now that I transferred servers, I see other boxers in BGs constantly. I would definitely hop on vent and talk to them.

I think the issue here is more about moderation / administration.

I think a community funded vent would be fine. I don't think Ellay has any interest in paying for one :D I've seen vent companies in the past offer group pay, or something similar, where you create an account and you can have whoever follow a link to pay for the service. My old guild on Madoran did vent this way. If we could find a reliable vent provider that would allow us to pay via this method, I'd be interested in talking about it. The trick is, I, nor anyone else would want to pay for a service that no one is using, so if we had a group payment set up, if the group stopped paying for it, it would just turn off.

My vent is normally unused and i have it posted in many of my threads. 25 slots... more than enough.

Another option is to setup a paypal account and once enough funds are put into it we can pay for a yearly account.
