Has anyone tried 1 pally 4 enhancement shamen?

Just wondering in my mind this sounds freaking hilarious... Just wondering if this actually is somewhat viable?

Im looking for something a little different and new... While I would love to do 1 dk 4 rets I just dont think i have it in my to lvl 3 more characters (already have an 80 pally and 80 dk) although the leveling 3 more characters would probably be a better rotue to go if I were to consider all melee charcters right? Anyway just kicking the idea around post what you think thanks!

I think it´s possible, specially if you make shamans insta cast healing wave on the pally when maelstrom weapon reaches 5 charges. Biggest problem imo will be healing the shamans in aoe bosses, as spirit wolves have a cooldown. though you may also create a healing macro for shamans to insta cast healing wave on theirselves, either way you will trade dps for survivability... Plus you have 4 totem sets at your disposal.

What hombre said, plus, don't expect those 1300-per-3-sec healing stream totems any more as your spellpower will be about a third of what it is in elemental spec. I tried enhancement shams like this once and the biggest problem is that heroics have so many damn AoE effects that hurt BAD that you're spending half your time moving/healing instead of DPSing. Not saying you can't make it work, I just don't think you'd have much fun bridging the greens-to-purples gear gap for heroics, IMO.

It is possible that having the pally lead with JoL would give the shams enough healing to supplement healing stream plus the occasional active heal. Would definitely require a rethink of what totems to stomp, fo sho.

What about 4 pallys and one enhancement shaman? Plate ftw. Auras ftw. And most of the buffs from one enhancement shaman stack with pally buffs.

i´ll go as wonz said.. have been 3 boxing with my pallys, but im now adding one enhancement shaman to my team. I have been able to 3-man all instances with this team (major problem is Zul farrak, because mobs spam too much totems). Adding 1 more toon will make things easier and, as a shaman, i can respec resto and 4 man heroics (i think so lol).

Im gearing my team up with melee gear so I can give it a try when I get bored one day. I have pala, 3 shammys and a druid. Hopefully the extra heals from LOTP should help :)

Lol I thought about gearing my team up as well. One thing I have noticed that this time around levling isnt such a bloody nightmare... but then again im not pure power gaming trying to get to 80 AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! So I may end up making 4 pallys and put in a enchantment shaman just for something different...

Without a lot of gear, it's hard to say. I know elemental shaman are terrible without gear and I had to really outgear heroics before I could do them. Could enhance do it with less gear? Not sure

Though my shaman are fully geared elemental, I've considered trying this for a dps boost, but I don't know if I'll get it. My shaman are in full relentless (lvl 245-251 gear) and even solo played they only do 4-5k dps, and boxed a lot less because my macros aren't fine tuned enough and I have to move them around. I see enhancement shaman in lvl 219-226 gear and weapons that pull 5k without breaking a sweat. Now I have access to the lvl 245 pvp weapons, and emblems for T9, but the question is would the DPS be any good when multiboxed.

I tried enhance shaman dps in PVE. The DPS is high (single target). And it is fun.

But I can't get this kinda DPS with boxing. I tried all sorts of click macros. Nothing works. I stayed at 3k dps with 5000 gearscore. Then I finally switch to manual. My DPS jumps to 5000. As a overview, here is what enhancement shaman do for DPS.

Priority Based

Spirit Wolf => Maelstorm Weapon x 5 stack proc instant Lightning Bolt => Stormstrike => Flame Shock (if dot not on) => Earth Shock (if flame shock dot is on) => Lava Lash => Fire Elemental Totem (on boss) => Megama Totem (if Fire Elemental Totem on CD, and no Megama totem ticking) => Fire Nova

Keep dropping Megama totem. Your mana will go down. Use shamanstic rage to bring mana back. Main hand windfury, off hand flametouge.

This is how I get 5k dps with 5k gearscore. I couldn't do it with click. all manual. It was fun but not useful in PVP, not to mention the burst is low too.

Your biggest strength in PVP is purge,interrupt, instant hex.

EDIT: speaking of melee hybrid DPS, compare to retribution paladin (which is currently what I am working on).

Hammer of Wrath (below 20%) => Crusader Strike => Judgment => Divine Storm => Art of War proc Exorcism => Consecration

first come first serve. No condition. Paladin had it easy

Well, macros never will get you the same dps as if you play the single toon with single styles. Its some kind of tax to pay.

Oh Elemental Shaman click macro is pretty close to manual. If you tune it right, it out performs manual in a longer fight. I am sure plenty of our elemental shamans can confirm that.

Enhance has to do a lot more to achieve the same DPS.
