Farming Shadow's Edge

Just curious about the possability of farming this sweet epic.

It's in the early stages of attaining Shadowmourne. You require 25 Primordial Saronites, 2 Quest Drops from 2 bosses in 25-man ICC, and another quest item which can be soloed/multiboxed easily.

Anyone thought about how difficult it would be to buy your way into a 25-man ICC raid for the 2 raid drops? The rest can be farmed.

I'm just speculating, but the difference in DPS compared to the next epic below is pretty substantial.

The thing is what can how effective can a godly 2h be in a 5 man melee group. You spend a lot of effort getting one where you still need 4 others. People on my server are trading 5 Primordial Saronite for 1 battered hilt. This badass axe takes 25 Primordial Saronite. That's 5 251 2h that you can get for your team.

But if you are talking about using your team to feed just 1 character for raiding. Then ya, totally doable. For me, 5 x 251 2h sword vs 1 x Shadow's Edge + a possibility of getting legendary later. I will take 5 x 251 2h for my team.

Also, armor penetration is not a good stat for dk + paladin. Only 35% of paladin and dk's damage are helped by ARP.

this thing is much more attractive (would be insane in pvp) and far more easily obtainable.
