RAM question

When building a computer with 4gb of RAM (assuming 4 x 1gb chips) is it best or needed to have all 4 be the same brand/model? There are a lot of great deals on RAM that involve using rebates, and usually the deal is 2 x 1gb, and you can only do 1 per household. So, I was going to use 2 deals to mix RAM and get 4gb.

Is this not advisable?

As long as they're the same spec and you're not overclocking things, you should be fine with that.
